3-day V'Spirit Cruise of Halong Bay-Lan Ha Bay

We had an amazing 2 night cruise through the stunning Halong Bay. It certainly lives up to its expectations! Our time on V’Spirit cruise was fabulous. All the staff were incredibly friendly but no one can top Jimmy our Guide! He’s funny, informative, and genuine. The best tour guide we’ve ever had!
My one critique is that all the water should be free throughout the entire trip as it’s certainly a necessity:) There are some complimentary bottles but it wasn’t enough for our family.
Overall it was a great experience that we will remember forever:)

Our recent trip on the V'Spirit Cruise in Ha Long Bay was an delightful experience. The natural beauty of the bay is truly spectacular, with its towering limestone islands and emerald waters creating a picturesque and serene environment. However, the almost constant presence of trash floating by mostly originating from the South China Sea, is really sad, and did not speak well of humans place on the planet in general. It doesn't completely ruin the place, but you cannot escape it. Not should you.

Despite this, the overall slow pace of the trip was something we appreciated greatly. V'Spirit allowed us to relax and soak in the surroundings without feeling rushed, be aware the pace is slow. This leisurely approach made the journey more enjoyable and stress-free.

One of the highlights of our trip was the visit to a traditional fishing village. Our children, aged fifteen and thirteen, were particularly fascinated by this excursion. We were fortunate to have Jay, a tour guide from the village, lead us through the experience. Jay did a marvellous job explaining the life of the villagers and provided insightful context on the modern challenges they face. His passion and knowledge truly enriched our understanding and made the visit memorable.

I also really enjoyed the kayaking and or son loved any chance to swim.

The food on board was exceptional, with a variety of dishes that delighted our taste buds. However, we found that there was an abundance of food served at dinner, almost too much for us to handle. Nonetheless, the quality and presentation of the meals were impressive.

The staff on the V'Spirit Cruise were another standout aspect of our trip. They were incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped on board. Their hospitality added a warm and personal touch to the entire experience.

What a wonderful experience aboard V’Spirit! The staff Henry, Remy, Moon and all other staff were seriously so sweet and made the experience that much more memorable. They were so attentive and would often check in with us to see how things were going or if we needed anything. I’m so glad I booked the 2 nights, because it didn’t feel rushed and I got to enjoy the day excursion which was so much fun to bike on the island and swim and meet new people. It was relaxing but also filled with adventure, the great thing is you can make what you want with the cruise. Because the boat is small it’s nice to have only few people onboard, our first day it felt like we had the whole boat to ourselves, truly magical. The room itself was nice and clean and with AC and your own balcony. All the food we had was delicious, the feed you a lot but if there are things you don’t want they accommodate and really tailor to your liking Don’t hesitate to book this! As a side note, we had 2 different guides each day one named Jimmy and the other Andy, both such awesome guys. They really took the time to talk to us and shared a lot about Vietnamese culture and any other questions we had. This part of our 2 week trip was the most relaxing, definitely recommend so that you can see some beautiful views in Ha Long bay.

Amazing!!!

Henry and his team along with Victor and Tony made this a truly memorable experience.

The boat was fantastic and we were treated like royalty for the entire trip by the lovely staff.

The most amazing cruise. We are so happy we got to experience this for our honeymoon. Modern yet authentic cruise with absolutely beautiful staff.
From swimming , kayaking , food , music , drinks and even the friends we made on the cruise it was everything we wanted and more.
My husband and I will definitely return and to V’Spirit cruises.

The staff were so helpful and friendly from the moment we were collected from our hotel. A running commentary kept us fully informed on the bus trip to Halong Bay. Nothing was left to chance. A beautiful lunch was waiting for us on board and from then until we departed we were given beautifully presented multi course lunch and dinners. Especially enjoyable for seafood lovers. Highly recommend

After a few days in Hanoi we were ready for this. I chose this tour b/c it had plated dinners and went to a less crowded bay than Halong. We got a free upgrade to a queen suite, and the room was immaculate, roomy, and on the 2nd level of 3 (above us was the top deck) with a balcony. I'm guessing there were maybe 40 people max on the boat, fewer on ours. We had a tour guide who met us at the pier (the pick-up fm our hotel was well-coordinated) and stayed with us, then handed us over on Day 2 to a 2nd one who got us all the way back to our hotels. I liked that a lot.

Staff are cheerful and helpful. Meals were good, tho' I recommend the vegetarian option, as I found the meat in Vietnam to have too much grisle and fat. First day I did meat, next veg. Not sure why, but the veget option came with a lot more food. You can change yr mind for one or the other when you get there, it's pretty chill.
The ship operates 1- and 2-day cruises on the same boat, so they offer a different program on the 2nd day...sort of a rolling Groundhog Day Cruise.

I tried a massage and facial, which were fine, but I was expected to pay cash (which was news to me).

The lounges and views were amazing. We stayed overnight in a bay with other boats, maybe 8 in all; it was quiet and very pretty at night all lit up. Would def use this company again.

p.s. There is a box at the end of the trip for tips for staff, you can give tips to main guide directly. No pressure.

We had a great time. It is certainly a beautiful area. The accommodation on the boat was excellent. Food was great. We had a different menu each night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was well organized.

Excellent trip. Staff very friendly and helpful with a special mention to our tour guide Tai who was wonderful.
Suite was spacious with a lovely private balcony. Bed extremely comfortable.
