My husband and I had a wonderful private tour of Montenegro from Dubrovnik with Andro of Cheap Dubrovnik Tours. He’s fluent in English and can tell you the history of Montenegro and Dubrovnik on the drive. We were picked up from Old Town and then we were on our way to Montenegro. Andro will pick the best schedule for when to go to avoid crowds and long lines going through customs into Montenegro and back to Dubrovnik. The tour circles the Bay of Kotor. We visited the charming villages of Herceg Novi, Perast and the Old Town of Kotar (super quaint walled village).  He will customize your tour based upon your interests. We personally recommend grabbing lunch in Persast along the waterfront or a late lunch inside the walls of Old Town Kotor (which can be crowded with tourists or cruise ship crowds, but there are a lot of cafés for interesting people watching). Depending upon the time of the year, you may want to hike part of the stone walls that go up the mountain side of Kotor. (We visited in mid June during the heat wave, and it was much too hot so we passed on any hiking). If you’re in Dubrovnik for more than three days, I highly recommend this tour to Montenegro. Better yet, if you have more time, consider a two day tour with an overnight in Montenegro.

We had an amazing day with Andro today for a private Montenegro trip including Herceg Novi , Perast and Kotor. From the time we booked the tour, Andro has been very responsive to any questions we had. He speaks excellent English , is knowledgeable about the history and very open to answering all the questions we kept asking him through the day . He made sure to curate the trip around our likes and this made the experience even more enjoyable . I highly recommend Andro and his company for trips in Croatia /Montenegro.

I am long overdue writing this review - apologies to Andro for this delay! We had an absolutely perfect day with Andro of Cheap Dubrovnik tours. From pick up at 7 AM at our hotel in Dubrovnik to the return 10.5 hours later, we had a wonderful time. Andro is an excellent driver with a good car, stunningly knowledgeable about the local history in detail, a perfect English speaker and a man with a great sense of humor. We laughed our way through Montenegro. He was relaxed and funny and able to easily relate to a pair of gals older than his mother! He took us to beautiful spots, knew exactly where to find some of our special interests in Montenegro (oysters, coffee, great restaurants) all while making us comfortable. Spending time with him and learning about his life and family (as we barraged him with questions) gave us additional insights into the culture and history of the region. It was a perfect day and I recommend Andro and Cheap Dubrovnik Tours without any hesitation. And it was far less expensive than some of the other options considered. It was stellar reviews that steered my friend to choose this - please let this review move you to choose this company for your travel.

Andro, Manager of Cheap Dubrovnik Tours, is the best guide EVER! First, his English is perfect, he drives a very comfortable car for the tour, his knowledge of the history of Croatia and Montenegro is mind blowing, plus he has a great sense of humor and strikes the perfect balance between guiding and giving you time to explore on your own. Picks you up promptly at your hotel and agreed upon rendevous sites, takes you to places you'd likely never find on your own (a tiny coffee shop in Herceg Novi and a great little oyster place in Montenegro for starters), and although he makes the best recommendations, he's happy to squeeze in your personal choices as well. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Next trip to Croatia/Montenegro, I'll book him for additional sites. Oh, and his prices are lower than any other tour we looked at. Thanks a million Andro! You were a big part in making our trip so memorable.

We were in Dubrovnik for a few days before joining a hiking tour, and wanted to take advantage of our proximity to Montenegro without taking a large group tour or driving ourselves. We were so fortunate to connect with Andro and his "Cheap Dubrovnik Tours" website. We opted for the marathon 15 hours, we'll see as much as possible full day, and it was worth every penny. The value was not just the ground we covered, but also our great fortune in covering it with Andro as our guide and driver. We began with a 6:30am pickup at our hotel, and ended at 9pm, tired but happy with the sights we saw and education we got about Montenegro, it's people [600K of them], their characteristics [for example, the 2nd tallest people in Europe after the Dutch], sports, and history. We drove through Herceg Novi, walked through Perast, and took a motor boat across to Our Lady of the Rocks before the crowds arrived at 9am. From there we went to Kotor, and along the way stopped to view the magnificent coast. Lunch was at Andro's favorite and very reasonable local restaurant, and then on to Budva before coming back on the new winding Serpentine Road, stopping at the old capital of Cetinje to see its monastery. Throughout this marathon trip, Andro stayed good humored, calm and informative. He is an excellent driver, capable of backing down the narrow Serpentine when confronted with a huge bus driving in the opposite direction. We highly recommend him.
