This 'adventure' was awful. The cruise ship ranked this as a highly active adventure compared to jet skiing. But, it was a confusing map with little to no instructions, a lanyard that told everyone we were tourists and a lot of walking within the cruise port area amongst closed shops and run down buildings. Once we figured out a convoluted puzzle, we had to walk three blocks to the next spot. Clues were hard to figure out (and we have college degrees),and involved a lot of math, (come on, we are on vacation). We were expecting to get to a location, and do an activity, like frost cakes, or sell something, carry something to a different location. On the fourth stop of more math, sitting in the hot sun on a dirty street curb with stray dogs lurking around us, we quit. The other team quit as well. We all said, this is not fun.

My husband and I had an absolute BLAST on the amazing race Cozumel! We weren't sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of our favorite excursions we did.
You get to go off the beaten path a little, interact with locals and get to try some gelato! Some clues can be tricky, and we ended up full on running the entire time, probably 2 - 3 miles worth.
At the end, you have drinks and some delicious chips/salsa at a resturaunt and have an awards ceremony.

So much fun! Highly recommend to anyone who visits Cozumel. It is well organized and all the locals are so nice. a perfect way to see and experience Cozumel. We have visited many times and this was our favorite experience from all our trips

We absolutely loved this excursion! We had so much fun racing around cozumel together and saw so many different parts of the city that we would have never otherwise seen. My kids are huge fans of the show and this was such a great time for the whole family. My only complaint is that we arrived at the starting time and had to wait for more than 30 minutes to start because they were waiting for a bunch of people from a cruise ship to arrive. But other than that, it was one of our favorite excursions ever. The hosts were so fun and added to the experience and we loved the variety of challenges and places tonviist. We would recommend to anyone and would love to do this again in another city!

This was the highlight of my shore excursions. As fans of a similar television series, we enjoyed the several challenges placed before us. None were particularly difficult or annoying as those challenges can be, and the race allows you to take in the entirety of central Cozumel. They have worked out arrangements with local vendors, so I got a taste of local culture while racing. Despite my competitive nature, we finished next to last, but had fun throughout.

I've been to Cozumel several times and this was an amazing excursion! It was well organized and so much fun. There was a lot of emphasis on safety (the provide each team with a phone in case of navigation problems). If you like TVs Amazing Race, you'll love this. Clever puzzles, wonderful guides, and a beautiful and fun way to see the city. I would do this excursion again!

Loved that the clues were challenging but not impossible. The guides were helpful and funny and made it so fun! Great way to spend the afternoon. BRING WATER! It was HOT!!!

Had a really awesome time! The race was really well organized and we had a blast! The organizers did a good job of making a variety of challenges that took us around the city and got us to interact with a lot of the shops and people in the area. Definitely would recommend!

Our tickets said 9:30 am. It was difficult to find, so we decided not to stress ourselves and just not try to meet up with the guide. At 11:50, a guide from Viator called looking for us and said our race was at 11:30, not 9:30. Another aggravating moment.
Viator should have had a representative at the cruise port with better instructions.
