Come and experience the beauty of killer whales and humpback whales in their feeding grounds.
After a scenic drive from Tromsø, your local skipper will greet you and provide you with thermal flotation suits and safety equipment in our dressing room.
From here there is a short walk down to the speedboat and then the search for the whales begins. Our RIB boat has good space to move around for photography, and we will even stop whilst at sea for hot chocolate and a snack. After the tour, you will receive a baguette and drink to enjoy on the bus ride back to Tromsø.

Superb, the landscapes, the colors, the orcas, the somewhat shy whales, we saw them. Great experience

The rigid boat tour was great. We saw whales. The road to get there is a little long, more than 3 hours, but it is definitely worth it. The staff on site were very friendly.

In contrast to other tours, there was no information from the start. Not on the bus, not when we arrived and not on the boat. We therefore didn't learn anything about the whales.
We weren't informed in advance about what was to come. For example, the weather, waves, proximity to the animals, etc. When we got on board, everything happened very quickly. We didn't even manage to put our goggles on in time.

We saw orcas and humpback whales, which was of course beautiful.

We were informed last minute that the tour was cancelled due to weather conditions. I asked the guide to change our booking to the following day. He first said he would be able to do that so I rescheduled all of our other tours to be able to do the whale watching. He then informed me I’d have to create a new booking. I asked if I could do that but with the price I paid originally as the price now was much higher. The team stopped responding and have been ignoring my messages. A day wasted because of a lack of consideration.

We saw orcas & humpback whales. It was amazing and well organized trip. I really recommend but check the weather as it was windy and freezing.

Big Big thank you to everybody in Arctic Adventure Tours. They took time to exchange with us when we were planning our trip. They managed to align activities I was looking for into our travel calendar and the best was that each activity was simply great. In particular the whale watching tour was fantastic: sitting on a small boat, well equipped in warm clothes, riding in this fantastic scenery - I must say that for me only that would be worth the trip. And as cherry on the cake we have seen dozens of whales from very close distance. I highly recommend this experience to everybody. Even my kids who usually do not like riding long distences in car were clear - it was definitely worth the long trip from Tromso to Skjervoy.

We stopped in Tromso for a day during a recent 2 week cruise of Norway. Not being particularly fond of ship-board shore excursions (they're overpriced and too crowded), we decided to book our own shore excursion with Arctic Adventure...and it was the best decision we made!!

Their shop was easy it find in downtown Tromso (even though we were running late from the ship's shuttle). After a brief overview, we suited up into our thermal suits and set off to the harbor, a two block walk away.

Our RIB driver, PT, was absolutely the best! Our tour took us all around the island of Tromso as well as a stop at another smaller island just south. We'd zoom around for about 10 minutes, PT would stop the engines and then give us a story about that were seeing around us. It was perfect! Sometimes it was some history....sometimes is was current events (like the seasonal oil platform for the recently discovered oil in the Bering Sea). PT was amazing.

The boat and equipment was top notch...no worn out suits or patched boats here! We stopped for some hot chocolate and cake at a small island and had the best time just listening to stories from the other riders (each of whom was from a different country...gotta love Europe!).

We loved Tromso and absolutely would use Arctic Adventures for any sightseeing we would do in Tromso. They are Perfection!!

Stopping in Tromso on a cruise we opted for an independent tour and chose Arctic Adventures. What an exhilarating and amazing way to see the fjord. We were running late and had a local visitor guide call the office to tell them we were on our way. No problem. Our small group consisted of the two of us and 5 people who had done the Tromso Marathon the day before: two from Finland, two from the UK, two from the Czech Republic and one from Florida. After getting outfitted in our (incredibly warm) floating suits we headed over to the marina to board the RIB and for the next few hours PT zoomed us out of Tromso and around the fjords, stopping for important sites and photo ops. We learned a great deal about local life and history and a highlight was a stop at a floating fishing dock for a snack of hot chocolate and piece of cake. Safety was a real priority as was making sure everyone was having a good time, which we undoubtedly were. Before long we were back at the marina.
While there are other tour operators in Tromso I can't imagine a better experience than the one we had with Arctic Adventures. They gave a personal touch and were genuinely happy to welcome you and show you their corner of Norway. We hope to be back in Tromso one day and would definitely take this excursion or any other by AA again. HIGHLY recommended!
