I did the Langley park jump (my first) with these guys today.
Glad I chose these guys as I almost booked one much further away.
You meet at the park where they setup a tent and a landing area.
You meet the guy who you will be strapped too. For me I think it was Don who has done 11,000+ jumps and many years experience. I felt very safe.
There is not much training to be had. Only because it is pretty straightforward about where to put hands and stuff.
Then you put on a harness and get in a minivan to jandakot airfield.
Before you know it your in a plane and it is time to jump.
The feeling is hard to describe and not at all what I expected.
I was expecting a heavy buzz, adrenalin, heartbeat, fear but there was none of that at all. Everyone will be different in this regard.
I very much enjoyed the jump and it is so unique to be falling like that and not be in an aeroplane or something.
Then you land and go home basically but don't forget your certificate like I did.
Some observations from the day to be aware of.
You will get filmed a number of times during the day even if you don't opt for it.
I am sure they might stop if you request I just couldn't be bothered to mention it and it caught me off guard.
The contents of your pockets get put in an open cardboard box sitting on the grass. I understand they perhaps avoid responsibility and you can't really bring lockers to a park but I felt there could have been a bit more control there.
Overall it was a cool experience to tick off the list and I think jumping into the CBD gives you a lot to take in on the way down.

Just finished my skydive in York with Tom. It was the second time I had done it and this one was way better than the first I did. Tom was an absolute legend. Thanks for the sick jump 🤟🏻

A workmate had a spare dive voucher and asked me if I would like to join him.On the day of the dive the weather was superb, check in was smooth and painless and the briefing was relaxed and easy to understand. My instructor Adrox was really laid back and was the star of the day,so a big thank you to him.All in all Skydive York was a first rate experience that I would recommend to anyone. Had an awesome experience. The team at York Skydive made us feel very relaxed and were very professional. Beautiful views of the flooded Avon River and surrounding areas. Loved it.

with the organized chaos of the skydive competition made a boring wait rather fun.
the staff was very cheerful and welcoming amongst the pros, beginners, volunteers camera crew and spectators alike. beside the hectic yet calmed prep area of the pros the area and toilet facility was clean.
the cafeteria was busy, everyone sat with anyone. instructors who taught formation outside helped explained to my kids and i what they were doing. something that kept us occupied waiting for our slot.
my instructor was awesome. Nick if in remembered correctly...must be my adrenalin and anticipation clouding my memory. he's cheerful and outgoing personality made my uneasiness less daunting. talking with him about 'crap' on the plane ride kept me at a level that was bearable even as my heart rate spiked. as i tried to fight the strong wind under my feet, i was falling before i knew it. there was no "push" sensation as others described it but rather a graceful slide. i forgot that he was strapped behind me. that feeling of fear left the further the plane was. what seemed forever at the start of the drop, was replaced with a momment that no words can described as my instructor and i free falled. timed slowed and sped as *Nick prodded me for his Gopro. in between waves ,snotty smile peace signs travelling at God knows what speed. next thing i knew, the chute opened , yet that description from other friends about that moment of sharp jerks and pain was not as bad as ive been told. circling towards the landing area, was an experience on its own. the way the body leans as the cords pulled and seeing that chute in the corner of my vision was thrilling in itself. Having seen the previous tandem jumpers and their landing i would have to say..ours was the best. from the moment of touching the ground, i took about 2 steps and we landed standing. we stuck it!!
now im not familiar with other Dive companies and their pricing. im unsure of the price tags they attached for the full works of pic and videos for the jumps.. but my wife found the very cheap dive from one of those discount website deals. but from the price i heard from friends and families...it was bloody cheap.
the price for their gopro images.. what may sound expensive..i believe is reasonable as amusement park ride photos are in the vacinity of $10 -20 for 1 photo.
1 of the best thing was at the end... the price of their beer was quite cheap. cheaper then going to a pub. and the burgers was tasty... i will have to go again...thanks heaps Skydive York!!!

I am actually terrified of heights so this was a big deal to me. From the moment I set foot in the door of the hanger to the moment my feet touched the ground after falling 14000ft, I felt completely safe with my instructor Bubba.

The tour is a good price but does not include photos or video. This came as an extra for $129 but TOTALLY worth the memories. I would definitely use this company again and encourage all my friends to go. The York flight does not offer much in the way of scenery so if you want that maybe choose a costal venue offered by the company, but to be honest this didn't even matter to me.

Can not recommend the guys and girls at Skydive York highly enough, 5 of us jumped to kick of my 50th birthday celebrations, have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life so far, made even better by the support and guidance given by the staff. The staff knew exactly how to handle our fears and apprehensions to make sure we all got the most out of the experience, whether it was knowing when to chat to us or reminding us to breath we couldn't of asked for more from them.

Went on my 1st sky dive yesterday. Unfortunately it had to be cancelled at rockingham however the staff were so accommodating. They took myself and 2 other girls down to york so we could jump. At york i think you are guaranteed a jump rather than rockingham because of wind and weather factors. Be prepared to be waiting and possible rescheduling. However Fantastic service, professional and would highly recommend!! Thank you to the guys and girls at skydive.

Went over to york for skydiving twice and had only waited in that cold cafe and headed home due to the poor weather. It would have been nice if staff could cancel it when they check on the weather forecast and not let ppl wait for 7-8 hrs before cancelling. Worst, I waited for 2 days. It would have been an awesome experience but oh well...
