I received a txt msh first from Zayra them from Gabriela that our tour was cancelled due to Holbox port was closed on the date we booked and they offered another date. I sent a message to the agent Gabriela to cancel and get a refund because we had other plans for the date they offer but she did not respond, only when we decided to take the tour (or loose our money) she responded. The tour to holbox, passion island, and cenote yalahau was good. In favor: passion island is beautiful, and that's what made the tour worthwhile. Cenote Yalahau was nice to but there are some more beautiful Cenotes in Cancun. The drivers and guides are very kind and pleasant. Against: I was very disappointed with the holbox island, dirty beaches and a lot of seaweed. We were also disappointed with the lunch. The food didn't taste like Mexican food, very bland! The worst thing was that we had to wait 1 hour for a group of people who were not even in the same van we were in because that group did not respect the tour timeline, and we and 12 more people had to wait for their delay. The tour company did not show respect for the other members of the tour.

Firstly I’d like to thank Jamie Garcia for organising this trip for me and my family. His name was highly recommended through a hotel group I am a member of and I can see why. He was fantastic throughout the entire process of enquiring, booking and even after the trip was over he even messaged me to ensure that my family and I had enjoyed ourselves. He was happy to answer any questions we had and to take back any feedback we had (not that there was any negative as the day was brilliant). I’m coming back next year and would 100% book through him again.

Now, the trip. We booked the Holbox tour with Cancun Bay Tours (through Jamie). We were picked up at 7am and then we set off to our destination, picking up a few other people on the way as to be expected. Our guide Adrian was fantastic, funny, friendly, informative and just generally great to be around. As was our driver Felix, as someone who is usually an anxious passenger (especially abroad), I felt completely safe. If you happen to get these two then you’re really lucky and definitely in for a fantastic day.

During the tour we went to three places, the cenotes, the passion islands and finally Holbox. While other trips I have been on during my stay in Mexico (not booked through this company) have felt rushed and exhausting this was the complete opposite, it was a relaxing day, that while it had time allocations for each place didn’t feel forced. The cenotes were lovely, the passion islands were beautiful and there is honestly no other place like Holbox. The meal we also had there with the tour was great and everyone was really friendly. Our boat driver, although I don’t know his name (his boat was called Chaleco Obligatorio) was also fantastic, really funny and happy the entire time.

Thankyou for a great day guys ❤️

What a fabulous day out at Holbox. We started off from the hotel at 7:45 and then stopped nearby to pick up more people. I was a bit worried at that point as we had to wait a while but once we set off it was brilliant.
We were provided with breakfast on the coach of cookies, bananas and drinks and the day out was explained.
Our first stop was at the outdoor cenote it was lovely and clear but we did not go in for a swim as it was very busy. Then back on the boat to Isla Passion this was beautiful and we walked around the island. Hubby climbed the tour to get a better view.
Then off to Holbox and lunch, We had about an hour before lunch to explore and was going to rent a golf buggy but you needed ID and we weren't carrying any. No problem use the taxis 50 pesos and you sit back and enjoy the ride. Beautiful beaches,
Boat ride back was so good better than a water ride at Disney.. I was drenched lol. Note for trip change of clothes advisable in case you sit in my seat on the boat. Our guides Adrian, Erlan and driver Marcos were fabulous, informative and funny. You will be lucky if you get them.

Today we went on the Cancun Bay Tour to Holbox. It seemed like it took forever to drive there as we had to pick people up along the way at several different hotels in Playa del Carman. We left our hotel at 7:00 am and did not get “ on the road “ till 9:00 am. Seemed like participants could have met at a predetermined place and saved some time. A snack was served...cookies, bananas and juice. First we went to the Cenote Yalahau. I love to snorkel. However, I have never been in such a filthy cenote. The mangroves surrounding the cenote along with the multitudes of people just spread yuck all over. There is no shower....so I used bottle water to get the “yuck” out of my hair. Next we went to Passion Island. A lovely gem in the middle of nowhere. Well worth the time there. Then....onto Holbox. It is a small pristine island soon to be taken over by tourists. The sooner you see it the better. Lunch was included and was just OK. We decided to hire a golf cart taxi for 300 pesos to take us on a tour of the island! There are no cars allowed. Only the 6 police officers have some. The BEST part of the trip were the three guides assigned to our small 17 person international group. Carlos, Adrain, and Uri made the adventure. They cared about our safety, security, and enjoyment. They made the day special. The condition of the cenote was not their fault nor was the sad piece of chicken I had. Their spirit and enthusiasm were contagious......
