A convenient and straightforward way to learn about and explore Old San Juan is with a local, knowledgeable guide who will lead you on an easy 2-hour history stroll through the oldest section of the city. Following the tour, you will understand the history behind the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, its unique ties to the US, as well as its rich Spanish, Taino Indian, and West African heritage.
Perfect for all ages, the tour will explore landmarks such as La Casa Estrecha and La Catedral de San Juan Bautista – Old San Juan’s venerated cathedral, which is Puerto Rico’s grandest religious building. Additionally, you will discover parts of the city’s impressive defensive system, including its walls, only remaining entrance door, and Fortaleza, the fort known as the “mistake” the Spanish made! Our tours also visit La Rogativa, La Capilla de Cristo, and many other "must-see" sites.

The most memorable moment was discovering the existence of the Taínos as natives Puerto Rico. I also enjoyed learning about Castillo San Felipe del Morro.

Nahiomy was our tour guide and she really went above and beyond. She did a fantastic job taking us around old San Juan. She gave us great recommendations for dinner and texted me a recap of places we visited in case we wanted to return to any of those places while we were in San Juan. She was the best! Thank you so much!

Our tour guide, Argeli, was a wealth of knowledge. You can also tell he loves Puerto Rico. Born and raised here. He shared so much of his knowloedge of PR's history, I really soaked it all in. The tour went by and through some very interesting places and architecture. At the end, he gave us all a handful of recommendations for places to eat! We picked on of them and enjoyed a delicious lunch after the tour. He made sure to stop at the restroom first and noted all places we walked by with water and ice treats along the way. I really enjoyed every moment.

Pablo was an excellent tour guide! He is young but don’t let his age fool you…he is brilliant. We learned so much about the history of Old San Juan and the island of Puerto Rico.

Very informative guide. A little warm, but not too difficult to walk for a senior citizen.
Just about right amount of time.
