We had a wonderful day visiting Montserrat and ArtCava winery. This was a full day private tour for 4 adults. The price was reasonable and well worth the tour! We were picked up from our hotel for the tour in a comfortable air conditioned van. Fabio was our driver and tour guide. He did a fantastic job sharing a lot of history about Barcelona and Montserrat. Montserrat was worth visiting and the views were amazing. It is hard to believe that the area was once under water and that the monks had to trek so far up the mountain. I’m sure it took weeks compared to the short drive today. I can’t imagine what it took to build the basilica, which was amazing. We viewed the Black Madonna in the basilica. There was the option to see her up close. The boys choir was not performing the day we visited although a friend told me that he visited when they sang and it was wonderful.
Santiago was our host at ArtCava and did a splendid job explaining the grounds and the process of making cava. It was quite interesting to see. Of course after tasting we bought some bottles of Palago to enjoy later.
I would highly recommend this tour and would use them again on my next trip to Spain!

Day trip was wonderful -- we all really enjoyed it and thought our guide was terrific. Very accommodating, answered all questions about beautiful Montserrat and we learned so much about the monastery community and the winery.
Thanks so much for everything and looking forward to coming out to Spain again soon :)

We recently returned from a Mediterranean cruise that started in Barcelona and ended in Athens. We arrived in Barcelona 3 days prior to our cruise and used Barcelona Day Tours exclusively. We can’t say enough about how wonderful they were. Our choice was to book as a private group, but I have no doubt that our experience would have been the same with their small group tours. My initial emails for information were answered immediately by Dory and she followed up with any questions we had. For our arrival we scheduled Montserrat with airport pick up and hotel drop off. Before we left the USA, we received an email that our driver would be there to meet us and they were monitoring our flight. On arrival we had a text from our driver/guide, Fabio that he was there to greet us and his exact location. It was like having a family friend greet us! We spent a wonderful day at Montserrat (even though we were jet lagged), making it in time to see the Boys Choir perform. Most importantly, our hotel was located on a pedestrian street within the Gothic area. Unless a vehicle has a special decal they are not allowed to drive down the street, however, Fabio had preplanned (and the company has the decal) so that we were able to be dropped off right at the door with all our luggage. The following day we explored on our own, but we had arranged Flamenco Show tickets through Barcelona Day Tours. Loved the show and food was good, but buffet set up was a little chaotic. The 3rd day Fabio again picked us up right outside the door of our hotel and took us on the ½ day Best of Barcelona tour. What an incredible guide! His knowledge of Barcelona and its history made it come alive for us. We sadly said goodbye at Sagrada Familia and made our way back to the hotel by taxi. All of my tickets (skip the line) were pre-arranged through Barcelona Day Tours. We honestly cannot say enough good things about our experience and highly recommend Barcelona Day Tours. We left feeling we had made new friends!

Communication with company was outstanding. Due to hotel location a secondary pick up site was required. All went smoothly. Moises out guide was excellent, very informative and personable.

We had a great experience with Barcelona Day Tours visiting Montserrat. Our Viking Cruise excursion had sold out so we booked a small group tour and it worked out perfectly! We were picked up at the cruise terminal and had a very knowledgeable guide. We were able to learn much of the history of the Abbey and could see the "Black Virgin" from the pews in the basilica. I did a lot of online research and was happy I chose this company. Everything was exactly as advertised.

Your suggestions were all very helpful, and the willingness to customize our day made it perfect for us. We Started the day going to Montserrat, then after went on a Cava tour! Based on my desire to see Montserrat, but we love wine Aurelio suggested this combination. WOW stunning and amazing experience at Montserrat, and the Cava tour - well delicious and so much fun! Our tour guide was so funny, and the Cava was so good! If your planning on being in Barcelona for a few days at least- give this one a try!

The tour was amazing. The entire day ran very smoothly and our guide did an exceptional job. She was very knowledgeable about Montserrat and Barcelona. She kept us interested the entire drive to our destination. I would highly recommend this tour !!

This was a great tour. Our driver Ania, picked us up at the cruise terminal the day we disembarked. They stored our luggage on the bus while we were on the tour. Ania was very knowledgeable about Montserrat, as well as Barcelona , and Spain in general. The monastery and its surroundings were beautiful ! Definitely worth the trip. I would have liked a bit more free time, but still a great tour !

The scenery the view and the inside of the monastery. The driver and guide also were very knowledgeable of the history and the surrounding areas. When we had some extra time they even showed us around Barcelona
