Booked for 8 am tour, after taking my money they later sent me a message that my tour would be 2 pm. Hottest time of day. Total bait and switch!! It was brutal

This was a perfect way to avoid the lines and go at your own pace. There was a little bit of a line at the gate but it moved quickly. Tickets came tight to the email and I downloaded just in case I had no reception there. I had no issues.

I thought I had reserved the earliest time slot but ended up with 1 pm. It was the day before Easter Sunday and it was very crowded.

After waiting in line because there were no options. Identified for skip the line we were told our tickets had already been used. They were not going to let us enter. I assume it was because the line was long and we arrived at the gate after the appointed time. A bit of clarification on how to use the skip the line option would have been helpful…

Overall, we thought the audio tours were great. Very informative and full of stories related to the history of the Acropolis and its many points of interest. Going at our own pace was great especially with the crowds that hold you up at every turn. If you are into the history, you will love the tours - definitely a 5 out of 5.
If you are looking more for something to guide you through step-by-step, and explain what you’re looking at, these were not as helpful. It took us a while to figure out what the audio was referring to and we had to recalibrate a few times during the tour. The stories can be lengthy and we should have just stayed in place for a bit vs the continuous slow stroll. When we were able to align the tour with what we were seeing, it was spot on and we actually liked the stories in general even if it didn’t correspond to where we were on the site.
Also - it wasn’t an issue but be aware that “skip the line” is referring to the box office not to the line at the gate. Be prepared to wait until your scheduled time +/- 15-20min to enter.

Once you download the app and your audio guides and ticket it’s all pretty easy to use. The guides were very clear and easy to listen to. It was easy to pause or skip around if you wanted to. Inevitably, the routes around some of the sites had been changed with works going on, but the interactive map in the app made it straightforward to work out where you should be and how to get there. All in all, we’d thoroughly recommend these guides and tickets.
One improvement would be to have the ticket accessible from within the guides themselves so that you don’t have to go back to find your ticket once you’ve followed the directions to the site. There was an option to download the PDF ticket but we couldn’t get that to work.

Note the combo doesn't include he olympic stadium but there is plenty to keep you busy for the day. You will reach your "step count".
