A good tour.The salt mines are amazing The driver was very helpful but I paid a lot of money for four of us to do the private tour and the vehicle was too small The price is for each person so we should have had a bigger vehicle. It was very uncomfortable.

Very well organised trip. We were picked up on time at our hotel and taken to the Salt Mine entrance, where our driver took us to our tour guide. The mines were spectacular, and I must give special praise to our tour guide Paulalina (I think that was her name), who was very knowledgeable and quite witty. Our driver was waiting for us after the tour was over at our arranged pick-up location and took us directly back to our hotel. Our driver was very professional, our tour guide very knowledgeable and the mines were spectacular - we could ask for nothing else - thank you to all concerned.

Note that the Saltmine tour is fantastic and absolutely worth visiting. My rating is for the Discover Cracow booking company, which cannot be recommended. We had booked and paid for the trip 14 days in advance, and the day before the trip I got a message that the trip had been moved from 10.30 a.m. to 1.15 p.m. It conflicted with our other arrangements, which made me call them. They were quick to say that the tour could come back at the original time but with a different pick up point. Then when we went to this pick up point, there was a bus - my name just wasn't on the list. So we wasted a day in Krakow. I called them and complained and they could offer to move the event to the next day - but that made the day crammed - and we were actually smashed on our last day in Krakow. No compensation or apology was offered. So, choose another tour provider or just go there by train. All tours are nevertheless offered with a guide to the Salt Mine.

Let me tell you.. The mines are fantastic and well worth a visit. The guide (from the mines) was excellent and so knowledgeable. The private tramsfer option is not worth it. We paid premium to see the mines quickly and without delays, so we had more time to discover Kraków during our short stay. Pick up was on time and quick, but once we got to the mines we had to wait an hour foenthe group tour. What a complete waste of time. We could have either picked up an hour later or added to another group. Oncw the tour was completed, the driver should have picked us up at the exit. But nope, we marched another 15 minutes to the parking lot, where he was waiting. Private transfer not recommended foe the extra $100 we spent. Sadly.

Great place to book tickets for trips very close to city centre comfortable minibus to salt mines also had pre booked tickets for Schindler factory

Our tour of the salt mines was fantastic! I definitely recommend taking this tour. I did not realize how incredible the salt mines were going to be and I am so happy we did not skip this visit. Our tour guide was hilarious and very knowledgable. You have to really see this place to see how amazing it is

went with seekrakow tours. What a brilliant day... from being picked up from our hotel to being shown round the mine , with our kind and friendly guide called angnus....
the mines were amazing a defo must if in krakow....lots of walking but nothing to hard. my partner has chronic back and needs knee replacements but managed ok.

We visited the salt mine with Discover Krakow. The mini bus driver was more or less on time...if not a little speedy! The journey took about 40 mins. On arrival we were issued with ID tags then waited in the area designated for groups. I have to say the organisation at the salt mine with the number of people they have to deal with was excellent. The group's were about 20 people, you had plenty opportunity to take pictures, it never felt crowded as they stagger the entry times. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we all had digital receivers so they spoke into mics, simular system in Auschwitz. After a tour lasting 2 hours, (lots of walking, would not recommend if you have difficulty walking, also lots of steps to decend at first) we eventually made our way to the lift back out. There are a couple of loo stops under ground too as well as a cafe, restaurant and shop. If you're on a tour you want get an opportunity to stop and eat at the mine or look to look around the rather pretty town, if you want to do either of those I would recommend doing on your own or a tour that includes a lunch stop.
Highly recommend visiting the salt mine although if in a group you won't have time to use the eating places.
