A diverse range well knows Kartli region of cultural sites, including several historical, cultural, and landscapes. Since the first half of the III millennium BC, the area dates from classical to medieval, including and altered several times. The region was the home of gods and their earthly embodiment – priests, chiefs, and kings. Every layer of the ground keeps a memory of epochs. The region was standing over the crossroads of cultures. The significance of this arterial road was connecting east and west. It’ rocky road still preserves a clear trace of wheeled transport moving here over centuries. The region was, from time to time, ruled by Mithraism or Zoroastrianism. Sovereign priests performed pagan rituals here. On this altar, they offered sacrifice, glorified female divinity, lighted holly fire. To be continued during the tour.

Great tour. First stop at the caves was great and impressive that it was carved so many years ago by the ancient people. Second stop at the local Lunch Restaurant can be recommended it was great food. 3rd stop at Stalin Museum our guide had great knowledge on the topic and it was nessecary as most was in Russian. 4th stop at the monestry was a bit dull but inpressive (the sun was getting to us) last stop at the river view point was absolutely stunning I recommend this trip on days below 25 deg.

Quite disappointed with this tour.

It was hot in the van the entire trip. The AC was on fan mode and the tour guide Katrina was boring.

First of all, I have to comment on the tour organizer. They were really organised and punctual in spite of the numbers of guests joining the various tours everyday. The tour guide, Patti, was very informative and friendly. The places we visited was amazing both for historical knowledge as well as great views. The only thing I was hoping was to have more time at Jvari Monastery because the view was really fantastic and we were still ahead of the schedule when we were there. However this wasn't a big issue, I still enjoyed the tour very much and would highly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Tbilisi :)

Besides the beautiful scenery and amazing sites, what we really enjoyed and appreciate is our tour guide - David, who's been really generous in providing information related to each sites/attractions. Interesting stories about the Uplistsikhe cave complex, the Cathedral of the Life Giving Pillar and the most curious Stalin Museum! Was really worth our time in Georgia!

A must do trip, if you are in Tbilisi for more than a day! Our guide, Mary was very friendly and approachable. You end up learning a lot about the Georgian history and it adds to what you have already learned while travelling around Tbilisi.

We spent a wonderful day with our guide Nika. His explanation of the Stalin museum was the highlight of the day. Of course the tour of the cave town and the old capital was also excellent. During the tour Nika was also extremely helpful when we encountered some personal issue. All in all it is a very fruitful day of Georgian history. Highly recommend!
