During this full day tour, visitors will have the opportunity to visit Scotland's historic and medieval capital. The tour will commence with numerous stops at all of the key landmarks of the Old Town, including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Grassmarket, St Giles Cathedral, Palace of Holyrood House, Arthur's Seat and Calton Hill as well as many other locations.

We will then contrast this Old Town of Edinburgh with the splendor of 18th century New Town.

After lunch, you will then be taken out into the Scottish countryside where you can spend the remainder of the afternoon visiting Rosslyn Chapel which was built in the 15th century and is said to have connections with the Freemasons but latterly has become more famous through the world-famous novel, the Da Vinci Codes.

I booked an Edinburgh highlights tour with Andy Marjoribanks of Edinburgh Cab Tours. He is one of the best tour guides we have ever used. Andy was very accommodating to our wishes, and providing a commentary that was not overbearing but very informative. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. The clouds were low making it difficult to clearly see Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill, and Edinburgh Castle. Highlights of the tour include a visit to St. Giles Cathedral, Greyfriars Bobby and Dean Village. We were able to take our time to fully enjoy the tour. Communication prior to our arrival was on point and his recommendations helped me to decide what could and could not be accomplished during our one-day in port. I highly recommend Andy if your travels bring you to Edinburgh. The only negative was that Andy forgot to request no rain for our tour.
