First of all, this tour is for people who would like to enjoy Sumo tournament fully and includes S-ranked 2nd-floor Sumo ticket, offering an exceptionally exclusive experience, typically reserved only for citizens of Japan. Through this tour, we walk around a city of Ryogoku, a sacred place for sumo, and will take you to several places where our guide give you cultural and historical tips to enjoy the Sumo tournament at last.
We will start explaining with the basic rules of sumo and the relationship between Ryogoku and sumo. Afterwards, we will share more and more by walking through the town.

We started by meeting Masao where he walked us around various parts of the town. He explained the history of sumo and how matches are conducted. Afterwards, he gave us our tickets and we were off to the arena. My family and I had a lot of fun watching the tournament! Was a once in a lifetime experience.

Nina was exceptional! She gave us a thorough presentation of the history and everything relating to the rules of the sport and relationship to the Shinto religion and customs. She also highlighted the wrestlers who were competing and their standings and who to look for in this tournament. She also took us to some great souvenir shops! Seats were great and the tournament was everything and more than we expected! 5 star experience!! Highly recommend this tour!!

Highly recommend this tour! Our tour began with a small introduction of Sumo history and notable landmarks. We learnt a lot from Sho, Kentake & Kuwa. It was very interesting, insightful and we recommend everyone stay for this part before heading to the Sumo match. The Sumo match itself was such a unique experience to see in real life. The seats we got were also great, as we had a clear view of the match.

Great guide, funny and polite, he spoke English well and answered all of our questions. We had great seats to watch the sumo, the guide gave us tips on what to look at in the venue before we sat down and which matches were MUST see. He gave us a two page explanation to keep explaining the process each sumo follows before a match why they lift legs, throw salt etc. it was very helpful, highly recommend.

Hina was amazing at giving an introduction to the art of sumo and shared some insights of what and who to watch for during the tournament. If you are in Tokyo during a tournament, I would highly advise booking a ticket through Magical Tours. It was the highly of my trip.

We enjoyed learning from Masao and we were so lucky to have him sit with us during the matches and explain which matches and wrestlers were crowd favourites or what moves they were famous for etc. Such a great japanese cultural experience. Would 100% book a trip with Masao again we learnt language, history and had a good laugh and joke with him also, great japanese man. The seats had a great front seat view. The lunch was plentiful and really delicious.
