Pierre was our guide and did an excellent job! Excursion was a very somber experience- my father was an American soldier who came through Normandy weeks after D-Day so it was amazing to see where he was 80 years ago.

Once again our Viator tour exceeded our expectations.
Our day at Normandy was both memorable and meaningful. Our guide Bertrand was so knowledgeable and we loved how he told the “story” through pictures and personal stories. Quite a testimony to the many who gave their lives in the name of freedom.

This experience was exactly what I had hoped it would be from Bert (our tour guide) and John (our bus driver). The lunch was delicious, the sites and commentary were insightful and spot on. They were both cognizant of our deportation time and made us feel assured that we would be back in plenty of time.

This was so great. They pick you up from the cruise port, provide lunch and so much history about all the stops they take you to! It was worth every penny and my favorite stop of our trip! Would do again!

This tour was amazing! We had a small group of 13 on a large bus. Our tour manager spoke great English & French, as did the driver. She explained everything that we would be seeing, & told us where to look. She had a great notebook with pictures that further explained what happened & had several maps of the beaches that showed exactly where everything was happening as she was telling us & showing us. She included a delicious packed lunch so that we wouldn't waste our tour time spent a restaurant. We sat overlooking the Omaha Beach while eating a large meat & cheese sandwich on a delicious baguette, potato chips, water, & a couple macrons & a Madeline cookie for dessert, all fresh from the bakery! We went to a German Cemetery, the American Cemetery, Ponte Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, etc. You could still see the large holes in the ground from the bombs, there are a lot of bunkers, etc. The cliffs are amazing to see, so high & we were amazed any American survived. A
couple C17 planes flew overhead while we were t the American Cemetery. A special ceremony for the soldiers was going on as well so we got to listen to that & hear the musicians. It was a very interesting & special, a solemn experience. We highly recommend it. It was an all day tour.
