If you are in Bali, you must experience this hike! We had Durmi as our tour guide and she was fantastic. The hike itself took round 1 hour and 30 minutes which went very quickly. Durmi educated us on Balinese culture which was a nice touch. I would recommend you dress warmly as going up the mountain was very cold!

We had a really amazing time with Bagia and Ketut on the trek. They are both so friendly, funny, and personable. The hike was very fun, and the views were amazing as well! Highly recommended.

The view from the top of the mountain at sunrise is simply breathtaking.

Excellently organised trip up Mount Batur. Our pickup was on time and comfortable. Our private guide was lovely and made enough stops for us on our route to the top. It is a moderate hike (not really for beginners as it is quite steep in parts and loose under foot). I would advise wearing sturdy footwear. A lot of the hike is single file with limited places to pass. The view was great and worth the exertion! And as far as the company goes, they are top notch! I would recommend and use them again.

Karma was the best guide. He paced us to get to the top right in time so we didn’t have to sit there being cold for awhile. He got us some walking sticks and shared information and stories and jokes with us. It’s not an easy hike but there’s plenty of break points and not only the sunrise was gorgeous but the views all around. Couldn’t imagine doing it midafternoon.

Our guide Karma was excellent! The trek was not easy at times, but with Karma’s patience and encouragement we made great time! Pacing us well, so by the time we reached the top we were given a simple but nutritious breakfast & hot beverage, all at the same time as the sun rose exposing the other mountains and the countryside below. It was wonderful to see the friendships and joking around he had with the other guides, providing a light- hearted and community driven Bali experience! A great way to see the islands various landscapes from the top of Mt Batur with clouds rolling thru the villages below. Ask for Karma, the guide ✨

We had a fantastic morning (though it started plenty early) with our guide Karma. We were huffing and puffing when we reached the top but all worth it. Highly recommend!
We were also pleasantly surprised at the stop at the coffee plantation on way back to Nusa Dua….was efficient and w got to taste some great coffees and teas.
