In 2020, Bergen will have the 950th anniversary of its foundation. 950 years of history have left traces in the city that are visible to everyone today, but whose importance is not always perceived. On this tour of the city, I would like to give you a brief history of what happened in Bergen a long time ago and not so long ago. The tour is divided into the following two theme areas.

Part 2 - Bryggen and the German Hanseatic League

A fun tour. Kept my teenagers interested. Leaned about the history of Bergen while getting an overview of the harbor area and downtown.

My wife and I, along with perhaps a dozen others, were part of the Bergen city walking tour, guided by Martin. We all met at the steps that led up to the tourist information office. After introductions, we were off. The walking tour lasted around 90 minutes. Martin was a great tour guide, and storyteller. Very interesting. Along the way, Martin gave us several recommendations, including a place to eat, and a bar to go have a beer. We visited both of those places, and thoroughly enjoyed both. Thank you. Our time together went by really fast. This tour was the first thing we did during our 4 day stay in Bergen. It really helped us with the rest of our visit. I would do this walking tour again.

Wir erlebten am Samstag, 22.6.24, mit Martin eine sehr ansprechende, sympathische und unterhaltsame Stadtführung in Bergen.
Martin erzählte und erklärte sehr professionell und gut gelaunt, wir erfuhren Interessantes und Informatives, spannende Anekdoten zum Schmunzeln, Nachdenken und Weitererzählen. Auf Nachfragen ging er gerne ein.
Martin lebt seit einigen Jahren in Bergen, das merkt man - auch, dass er die Stadt mag :)

Martins was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. He brought the past and present in Bergen to life. I highly recommend this walking tour. Go early in your visit so you can take advantage of all Martins local knowledge and excellent tips.
