The pick up did not turn up at the hotel, the number provided was not not functional. It is a shame that Viator still has this activity listed on their site. DO NOT BOOK THIS ACTIVITY!

Tour guide never showed & number provided by Viator is not operational. This is a scam. We are yet to receive a refund from Viator.

There was no response from operator. The phone number was not working and despite messages and emails nothing happened. No one turned up and we had to scramble around and make arrangements at the last minute. Definitely do not recommend have requested for a refund and waiting for viator to process it.

The event never happen , we called the tour operator just to be sure that we will be pick up but to my horror my hotel manager spoke to the tour operator only to be told that the tour has ceased since covid started ! So we are very surprised that TripAdvisor still has this tour in their website !!!! Now we are trying to get our money back and was told that TripAdvisor is trying to speak to the supplier to reconfirm our allegation ! I guess TripAdvisor do not trust their customer!
Not only has it spoilt our day but now don’t know how long will we get our US$79.50 back

The bus never picked me up. The company would not answer the phone. But they did take my money. I am very disappointed that I trusted Trip Advisor.

Our village tour outside of Siem reap was no doubt one of the highlights of our visit to Cambodia. A week later, we are still talking about it and telling others. As other reviewer‘s have said, we came to Siem Reap for the temples but left with the village in our heart. The tour guide, Ra, has an infectious passion for this village. With a healthy sense of humor and honesty, he took us to a local market, taught us how to plant and harvest rice in the fields, taught us to cook several local dishes, dressed in traditional Cambodian wedding costumes, visited with local villagers and observed how they live as well as visited the local elementary school. The warmth of the people in the village simply amazed us. Their extremely rustic homes on stilts are powered by car batteries and very few have filtered water. This tour helps to benefit the village and the school as a nonprofit organization. They have installed flushing toilets and filtered water in some of the homes as well as supported the elementary school. This tour will stay in our hearts for a long time and we wish this organization the very best in continuing to improve the life of the villagers who welcomed us with open arms.

Highly highly recommend this trip, away from the city and see the real Cambodia come to life. Ra was an outstanding tour guide, so much care and knowledge throughout the day. I really enjoyed every activity during the day, rice planting, traditional costume, cooking my lunch, visiting the village houses and people and finishing with a trip to the local school. Such an amazing way to see the life behind the tourists destinations in Siem Reap. Definitely book yourself a day trip out with Ra and take in the local culture. Thank you so much for an amazing day.

NhumBai in Khmer means eating rice. You will love this off-the-beaten-track authentic Village Experience . Ra the guide is so pleasant and helpful with his wealth of information. You dirty your hands (and legs literally) planting rice and harvesting - it makes one appreciate all the hard work behind every grain of rice that we consume. Nhumbai have a beautiful resting place in the village worth a night stay. Green coconuts keep appearing whenever you want. The village walk through houses with Ra translating is a wonderful interaction. We saw palm sugar being made and bought some from the villager. Overall one must not miss this particular Village tour though there are several other surface scratching trips

This is off-the-beaten-track authentic Village Experience which you will love. Ra the guide is so pleasant and helpful and you can learn a lot talking to him. The dirtying hands and legs (literally) planting rice and harvesting enhances the knowledge making you appreciate the hard work behind every grain that we eat. The resting place in the village built by Nhumbhai is excellent and worth a night stay. Green coconuts ( water) keep appearing whenever you want. The walk through village houses with Ra translating is a wonderful interaction. We saw palm sugar being produced in a home and bought one jar from the villager. Overall one must not miss this particular Village tour though there are several more commercial ones.
