Amazing time capping off my honeymoon with my wife with a trip to Guatapé and Piedra del Peñol. Highlighted by horseback riding with the support of our tour guide Laura who was top notch. Not only did she accommodate our different equestrian abilities and make us feel comfortable and safe at all times, but also delivered history lessons of the area while driving us round trip to each destination. Even took photographs of my wife and I during the experience for keepsakes. Highly recommend Medillin Day Trips and Laura as a guide 🙂

Wonderful experience!! Highly recommend this private tour over doing a group tour because of the flexibility it provides. We were able to tailor the tour to our desires and to best avoid long lines and traffic. Our guide Sarah was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned much about Colombian history and enjoyed our time with the horses in beautiful scenery, as well as exploring the town of Guatapé and climbing the rock. It was exactly what we wanted!

This was the perfect day trip for our family. Our 10 year old daughter LOVED the horseback ride. Sarah, our tour guide, really made her feel at ease as it was her second time horseback riding. The countryside is spectacular. This was our second tour with Sarah as our guide and she made it as pleasant as the first tour! The ride to Guatape is about 1.5 hours and Sarah provided us with information about various things we passed, about the history of Guatape and had a wonderful sense of humor. We climbed Guatape and were exhausted! Sarah explained what was remaining on the tour and we asked to alter some things which she was more than accommodating! The private Medellin Day Tours and their guides are definitely worth the cost and we would do them again without question! Our guide Sarah is first class and it shows!!!!

We had so much fun! Esteban was a wonderful guide. He picked us up early so we would miss the crowds at Guatape. Then he showed us around the most adorable small town. The entire day was a big highlight of our trip.

This tour was amazing! Esteban was very knowledgeable, down to earth, and extremely kind. We started off by arriving to el Peñol de Guatapé before the busy crowd so it was perfect timing. Esteban took us to the town afterwards and showed us local shops before we drove to the farm where we rode horses and experienced beautiful views of the country. Then we had lunch at a local restaurant, which was delicious and shared some stories, laughs, and fresh juices. Overall the tour was worth the time and $. It felt like we gained a friend and learned a lot about Guatape and some of the countryside! Esteban was perfect! Thank you again!

THIS is the tour to book! We had an incredible day thanks to Juan Camillo! From start to end, we had a phenomenal, personalized experience where we were able to take a fun horse back ride and see the beautiful Medellin countryside, climb El Peñón de Guatapé, get a history lesson and walking tour of Guatape, and have a DELICIOUS meal. Our guide was Laura, and the tour couldn’t have been more amazing! The horseback riding was so fun, and catered well to amateurs at horse riding. Laura was very knowledgeable and just filled us with so many stories along the way. Even though the guatape rock was partially closed due to the recent landslide, we still had a great view from the base of the rock. I would recommend this to anyone coming to medellin, whether for the first time or not.
