We did the 45 minute helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon (from the south rim). It is hard to comprehend the size of the Grand Canyon, and to get a real view of the Grand Canyon is via helicopter. A couple of things to be aware of, if you want to land in the Grand Canyon you can only do this in the West Canyon flights and the helicopters cannot fly down through to the Grand Canyon, it must Martin height above the height of the rim. Still an extremely spectacular trip.

That was a wonderful flight over the Grand Canyon. The most impressive way to see the canyon! We would take the 45 minute option again. It went by so quickly! Everything was very well organized!!

Wonderful flight. They canceled on us for wind and didn’t contact us. We were in spotty cell service with the mountains yet we planned our day around the flight which didn’t happen until the next day. It just took away from the experience.

Our teenager thought this flight was the best part of our trip, and he might be right. The Grand Canyon is impressive from the rim view points, but this gives you a much better idea of how big it really is. Papillon is well run - great take off facility, well organized, excellent pilots. I liked that they play rock music during the flight. The pre recorded narration was OK but didn't really provide new information. The pilot was very informative. It's expensive but well worth the trip.

The Grand Canyon itself was the most memorable part of the tour. Cole, the pilot of the helicopter tour and Renee the Hummer tour guide, made it a marvelous experience. Cole (maybe Colt) is a very capable pilot and an entertaining and engaging guide. He was excellent.
Renee, the Hummer guide, was the best guide we could have had. Her range of knowledge and passion for the Grand Canyon made it a magnificent and memorable experience. Renee's knowledge of the history, the animal life, the numerous facets of the canyon, the plant life and her own experiences with the Canyon made the tour experience stand above all others. Thank you Renee.

If you have the time and want to get a whole overview at how big the Grand Canyon is then this is a must.
This trip was just amazing and our helicopter Pilot Luke gave us enough information about the Grand Canyon but it didn’t detract from what we were actually seeing in front of our eyes

Kalon, our pilot, was great—informative and very personable. The flight over the Grand Canyon was truly a bucket-list item for my husband and me. We loved the entire experience, the narration about the Grand Canyon and the music played in-flight too!
