We had a trip to Lipari and were thinking about various combinations/iterations, specially given the many public transportation options out from Catania to get us to Milazzo and then the ferry.
We finally decided to use private transfer and Walk Around Sicily was the best team to do it with.
Driver met us in terminal on arrival and vehicle was conveniently right outside the terminal building. Drive was smooth and we were able to get a good night's rest in Milazzo before taking the ferry the next day and making the most of day 1 on the island.
We also used the same service on the return part to Taormina where we spent another week. Highly recommended
