The beach was gorgeous, and our guide (Dionysis) was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and funny! He kept us engaged and taught us a ton about Crete, from ancient to modern history and unspoken rules of driving on the island.
The beach was beautiful and the lunch at Milia was enormous and delicious! I accidentally left my hat in the jeep, and he proved himself to be kind and accommodating when he left my hat with security at our hotel while we were out.
10/10 definitely recommend!!

Our driver Stavros was amazing. He told us alot about the history of Crete and Greece. He was a safe and excellent driver. The beach was gorgeous and our loungers were in the front waiting for us when we arrived. The lunch up in the mountains at the retreat was excellent. It was a beautiful contrast to visit the beach and then to go up to the mountain. I would not recommend driving up to the mountain by yourself-the road is very narrow 2 way road that is very winding and without any railing. You will thoroughly enjoy the day. And if you can request Stavros you will enjoy it even more. Spending the day with him is like spending it with a good friend. Don’t hesitate to book this excursion with Chania Adventures. They will take care of you and you and your family/friends will have an outstanding day

Nasos picked us up in an air conditioning 4x4 car at 8am.We went straight to Elafonsi and arrived aprox around 9.15hrs. We had loungers and an umbrella on the first row and we stayed a duration of 3 hours, there is changing huts, toilet facilities €1 and a beach bar to get snacks and drinks, the area is beautiful and vast, by midday it gets packed and limiting sun beds. We then went onto Milia mountain, where we had traditional Cretan lunch and a drink, and it was plentiful and tasted amazing. We had a brief experience of the surroundings which was so tranquil. Nasos is very knowledgeable and helpful and provided the journey with useful information. We would recommend this experience.

We loved this day trip. Dion was a fantastic guide, so friendly and made everyone feel at ease. The front row loungers and umbrellas were perfect and it was great to not have to just spend the whole day at the beach. Milia Mountain was great too

This was our favorite experience in Crete! The whole day was planned perfect. The beach is beautiful. You are given the perfect amount of time to relax and enjoy the beach.
The mountain retreat is like nothing I’ve ever seen. The views and the food and the wine are delicious 🤤

We loved everything. The beach which was waiting for us with two beach chairs and umbrella . The retreat at the top of the mountain just incredible. I was amazed by the cook of the retreat so young and with so much passion for his job. The place itself so peaceful. It’s a long way to the top of the mountain, but with a driver like STAVROS from Shania Adventures we felt safe while we were climbing up there admiring the beauties of nature. We even saw some Cretian Vultures in the sky.
A big Thank to Stavros who was able to lighten us up about the history of Cretes.

Stavros our guide was excellent throughout. He was very attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about the local wildlife, plants/trees and traditional Cretan way of life. We arrived early at Elafonisi beach to avoid the masses, with the best sun beds reserved for us. We had 3 hours enjoying the shallow crystal clear waters, and there was still some of the famous pink sand (it’s replenished by the March tides, but is usually all gone before June/July as visitors regularly take (steal) some). Then we travelled into the mountains to Milia Mountain Retreat for lunch. The food was excellent, traditional recipes with a modern twist, in a lovely setting. Overall, a very stress free memorable experience.

Our guide Stavros was really helpful and nice and told us interesting things about almost everything. The food at Milia was fantastic, even thoough my 13 year old son didn’t like it as much as I did. It was really hot and the walk back to the meeting point from Elafonissi was quite demanding. But great to go to Elafonissi before the crowds!

Great excursion in a very comfortable vehicle with a very friendly driver guide who explained a lot of things, we had a wonderful day, everything was perfectly organized, and the meal at Milia was delicious, the only small problem was the language barrier because we are French and don't speak much English, but that won't stop us from doing another excursion with Chania Adventures😉

Absolutely phenomenal; would repeat over and over. The guide Nikolas was so warm and interesting. It was nice to stay off the big buses and ride as a small group. Elafonissi was pure magic and the mountain retreat for lunch was some of the best food we've ever had. If you get car sick, take something beforehand. The mountain roads are NO joke even with excellent driving.
