The local drivers - escorts will pick you up from your hotel/villa and will drive you through rough roads to the authentic part of Crete. Just a few minutes from Chania city you will begin to get a sense of the Cretan landscape and to enjoy yourselves close to olive, lemon, orange and avocado grooves.Early in the morning we visit the 3000-5000 years old olive tree and later at Anoskeli's olive mill and winery the Sommeliers and Wine-Olive Oil producers, as more professional in their sector, will inform you about the wine and olive oil when they serve you.
The adventurous part of the tour is to approach the White Mountains from Sebronas gorge and driving on rough roads.
Have your lunch time at 1200m/4000ft altitude with a magnificent view to Samaria Gorge and the highest summit, named Pachnes (2453m/8048ft).
Heading back to Chania enjoy the view at the Aegean sea from 1000m/3300ft, visit the Historical Therisso village and enjoy the scenery of Therssio Gorge.

Nicos and tour are tops.
We two were with another 2 couples in a very comfortable all terrain 4wd. If you want a great day out and to see lots including the magnificent 3000 (yes 3000 plus) year old Olive tree then this is the tour....ps Nic is also fun to be with and likes a laugh..

We had a wonderful day touring Chania area with Dimitri- he picked us up in Chania at the Chania Flair hotel (great place to stay near the waterfront) and we had a fun visit into the country side for an olive oil tasting and wine tasting. On the way we stopped at a 3000 year old olive tree and Dimitri shared stories of early Olympic tradition of the olive bough and garland of leaves for the winner—He treated us to a cup of mountain tea (healing and immune boosting herbs) with local honey- loved it!
Olive oil tasting was very fun, followed by interesting ride up the mountains on rustic roads followed by shepherds and hikers to the summit of the mountain where both the North and the South sides of Crete can be viewed. Stunning vistas of the mountains and the coasts- fun to see the goats along the way up at the summit.
The most spectacular thing that Dimitri shared with us was the entrance to the Samarian Gorge- we had lunch at a taverna right at the mouth of the gorge, with incredible views and wonderful meal of grilled lamb, Greek salad, herb and rice stuffed vegetables, braised rooster with noodles, and fava bean salad- of course washed down with very good white wine and Mythos beers- incredible meal with a very memorable view. Dimitri shared with us the info about gorge trekking (10 KM)
WE really enjoyed our day with Dimitri and highly recommend his as a guide of this area. Very fun day!

I went on this tour today with Nasos, he was amazing. As I am petrified of heights and the road that we take to get to our final destination was fairly high up and I was very scared. He was so comforting and caring. The views and amazing history that he shared really made the tour amazing. We stopped at the olive oil place where we saw the oldest tree that still produces olives. Here we ad time to have a nice coffee or tea and some photos before we went to a winery and had an amazing taste testing of 5 wines and the most incredible olive oil you will ever taste. Then we headed to Samaria Gorge where we had the best food ever an the views were unbelievable. If you are in Chania, you need to book this tour, it will change your life and is so breathtaking. Thank you again Nasos for an amazing day.

Wonderful experience! Our guide, Vassilis, was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all the best places. Be sure to bring your appetite, as lunch is a four-course meal of incredibly fresh and delicious food. The views were spectacular and the wine and olive tasting top notch! We would highly recommend. Very comfortable Jeep, Interesting trip to see more of inland Crete. We had a very nice restaurant lunch with wine in a lovely outdoor garden setting. We had several stops with olive oil tasting and wine tasting, with a nice platter of nibbles. We also had a stop at the lookout over Samara Gorge, which was fantastic. Would recommend.

I can not say enough about Chania Adventures! We had such a special day with Nasos - exploring the cave of St. John the Hermit, then on to the Olive tree of Vouves (awe-inspiring!), wine tasting at Anoskeli Vineyard (lovely!), then to Samaria National Park for an incredible lunch and views that were beyond anything we could have imagined! Nasos is a most impressive and knowledgeable tour guide but, most importantly, we felt like we were hanging out with an old friend! Thank you Nasos, for a very special day!!

We had the most amazing time on our adventure with Dimitri. He is so knowledgeable and was the ultimate guide. We loved every bit of the tour. The olive oil and wine tasting was magnificent and the lunch was delicious with views that literally take your breath away. It’s a must do!!!

Our day with Nasos was wonderful! He picked us up at our Airbnb with drinks and a snack. The wine tasting was great and we learned so much about the olive oil business. Nasos was very informative about Crete and its history. He was attentive to all our needs and determined to make us comfortable and entertained. We had lunch in a beautiful place in the mountains. We were served an assortment of traditional Greek food. Very delicious! The drive up into the mountains was gorgeous and truly an adventure!! Highly recommend this tour!

We were a group of 6 friends who did a private day tour with Nasos. As he told us before we set off we were explorers for the day in Crete. He met us at the cruise port on time and we set off on our adventure. We drove through the White Mountains and stopped at a lovely Taverna nestled in a small town in the mountains. We had a traditional sampling of traditional Crete cuisine and everything was delicious. After this we drove through the gorge and into the mountains which had spectacular views.
In the afternoon we visited a winery for a tasting and tour. The winery was in a beautiful location. We visited the oldest olive tree (3000 years old) and ended our tour by driving to a fantastic lookout spot outside of Chania that had beautiful views of where the mountains meet the ocean. Everyone talked about how wonderful our tour was and how passionate Nasos is about Crete. I cannot recommend Nasos and his tour company highly enough. Thank you again Nasos.

Our tour with Nasos (owner) of Chania Adventures was the highlight of our Crete trip. Nasos was an excellent host from beginning to end. Everything was perfect from our first stop for Coffee and a sweet treat at a villa housing the 3000 year old olive tree. Our wine and olive tasting experience was amazing (we could barely make it home with all of our goodies). To end the perfect day with an outstanding lunch at a beautiful mountain resort, what else can 5 ladies on girls trip ask for??? Nasos treated us like queens!
