The guide was outstanding giving a very detailed history of the palace of Knossos along with the Minoans. She tied together Greek mythology as well in a storytelling manner. Highly recommend this tour

Katerina had so many stories about the history, but always tried to share in a way so we could visualize the city as a living place. Her enthusiasm added to the experience. Definitely worth having a guide instead of just looking at a ruin you don’t understand.

The tour guide was EXCELLENT! Highly recommend!
But the Viator logistics were terrible. We were to meet the tour at the entrance. At 9am the entrance must have had 500+ people swarming around. No one could tell us where to go, who to talk to. We were 10 minutes late because of this.

Katarina was absolutely brilliant as our guide! She pitched it at such an interesting level for us to learn more about the history of Knossos! Since I had booked during the off-season, I was the sole person on a tour with Katarina, who was very engaging, knowledgeable and very passionate about Knossos. She could answer everything, as well as provide her own insights and ideas.
Since Katarina is an archeologist and site excavator herself, she possesses vast knowledge about the palace, and of the Minoans. A true tomb raider!

Akrivi was so wonderful. She had so much information to give us. So much more than expected. The time went by so quickly and the tour was very long. If we had a question, she knew the answers immediately. Her knowledge was more than just about the area but also about the history of the rounding countries and their people.
