Just book with LivTours! There is a reason they have amazing reviews. Our guide, Livia, was amazing, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. It’s hot in June, she encouraged us to have water before tour, and she showed us the refill stations inside Colosseum. LivTours was also organized and she got us through the cues fast. I advise knowing where the Metro Station is prior to your tour. It’s across from the Colosseum. LivTour meets there, although there are several companies that meet elsewhere. So, we walked around a bit before finding the Metro station. Also, the tour companies have a sign they hold, so there is no flags above all the people.
Again, I believe this is one of the best tour companies in Rome.

We booked the private colosseum tour and hit the lotto when we got Marco as our guide. He was absolutely incredible! We had three generations taking this tour (ages 13-73) and he was able to engage each and every one of us on a different level. My family likened him to the Bear Grylls of tours. He was just as enthusiastic and passionate about the history of Rome as Bear is about the wilderness.

Julia was a fantastic tour guide for my husband and son's favorite tour. On this tour, we got to stand on the arena floor, see where different people would sit as well as the underground basement where the animals and gladiators were housed prior to their performances. She gave a fabulous history of different aspects and even personalized by bringing in my son's interest to Legos and Star Wars to relate to the Colosseum. Great photographs!

We had a great tour of the Coliseum in June of 24. Our guide, Catarina, was an archeology student and gave us all kinds of inside tidbits that we wouldn't have earned otherwise. The tour was great and skipping the lines that we saw that morning was a huge help. Perfect length for us and our 12-year-old to enjoy, highly recommended.

Our group only had 7 of us which was nice. Francesco was a great tour guide and took us all around the colosseum.
We did the tour of the floor area which was interesting. Nice to bypass some lines.
