1. Valley of the Kings
private Pick up from Makadi hotel at 05:00 am by air-conditioned taxi and arrive Luxor at around 09.30 am. You will cross the Nile to visit some of the most spectacular highlights of Luxor's fabled West Bank during which you will explore with your own private tour guide The Valley of the Kings Valley of the Kings: The final resting place of Egypt's rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty, it is home to tombs including the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamen. he tombs were well stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world. Most of the decoration inside the tombs still well preserved.
2. Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
The Temple of Hatshepsut Hatshepsut Temple: It is one of the most beautiful & best preserved of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together.
3. Colossi of Memnon
The Colossi of Memnon. Two massive stone statues of king Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone which exist in Cairo then moved 700 KM to Luxor The Temple of Karnak - the largest ancient religious site known anywhere in the world - followed by An hour tour with a traditional Horse Carriage during the late afternoon - the perfect way to relax while watching the traditional Egyptian daily life.
4. Temple of Karnak
Karnak temple Karnak Temple: No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples situated on 247 acres of land. If you finish early there might be some time for some shopping for souvenirs in Luxor's vast souq or, if you prefer, take a little time to wander by yourself around central Luxor. Finally, at 5.30pm, you will be picked up by your private car which will take you back to Makadi where you will return to your hotel by 9 pm. Should you wish to make any changes to the itinerary - such as visiting Luxor Temple instead of Karnak or spending more time in the souq - we will be happy to make suitable arrangements where possible.

It was a great day, the sights are beautiful and our guide Naama was patient with us, gave us enough time to see everything and accomodated to our needs.

We had a wonderful trip to luxor. The day before we got several text messages from the company requesting our passport details for the transfer between the check points. It is quite a long drive from Makadi, it took 4.5 hours, Collection at 5:20am and we arrived around 10:00am.

We had 1 half way stop in both directions for 15 minutes where there were toilets which you needed to tip with coins to use and there are refreshments also - they did try to rip off on the price so it good to have an amount in mind before approaching the till. (We were charged 150 for two packets of crisps which we managed to get down to 40 which is the normal shop price)

We collected the tour guide in luxor and then went to the Valley of the Kings first. The trip did not include Tutankhamun's tomb which you have to pay extra for if you would like to see it.

We then travelled to temple of Hatshepsut which was facinating.

We were then taken to a pottery shop where they were carving rocks. We were given a demonstration and then invited to buy things.

The Famous Bazars are just the shops by the attractions for any keen shoppers.

We then went for lunch which was a buffet and quite tasty. The toilet facilities here were not the best, they are much better at the attractions.

We then paid the extra charge to go on a short boat ride across the Nile.

We finally ended the tour at the Temple of Karnak which was very impressive.

We dropped the guide off and went for a long drive back to Makadi Bay.

Hoda, our very inspiring guide had an incredible knowledge of Egyptian history, the Pharaos and all their gods and she managed to explain it so that we could really understand everything ( and it’s a lot of information). I want to come back and do the Nobel’s tombs next time. It’s all so fascinating! Thank you for an unforgettable day in Luxor

This was an excellent and memorable (probably once in a life time) excursion. The private minibus turned up bang on 05:30 and the 4 hour journey through the Red Sea Hills was comfortable. We met Abdul the tour guide in Luxor and he was an absolute gentleman and entertaining and knowledgeable company. It was hot and we were wilting by the end so the length of the day was just right. There is so much to see in Luxor it is difficult to do it justice but I think we did well. The trip across the Nile by boat was a great touch. Buffet lunch was good. It would be nice if you could pay by card, it’s a lot of money to carry around.

Fabulous trip, great drivers.
We were picked up from makadi bay at about 3am. We had a mini bus to ourselves. we had two drivers.
We went through a lot of check points on the way with no problem,. At Luxor we met our guide Haman Hamdy, he was friendly and so informative, an absolute expert egyptologist. He explained everything so well, and answered our many questions.
We had a brilliant day and Hamam was an absolutely brilliant guide.
He was so kind and caring, and understood that I was feeling sick, and didnt want to go on the felucca, as it was windy and rough on the Nile.
We couldnt have wished for a better day out.

Nice tour. We had Hami as our guide. Hami is a very friendly and a knowledgeable guide. He manages the time very carefully, so that you are able to see all the highlights of Luxor.

I and my friends decided to booked a day to luxor after we looked to many websites. We decided to go with marsa alam tours due the reviews and price....we really enjoyed the way to luxor the driver was amazing. Everything was excellent.
Can't thank them enough.

Excellent trip with Hoda around Luxor - she was flexible to our needs and tailored her style to balance speed, jokes, photography with history! Pick up was prompt and the vehicle comfortable. Be mindful that there are Egyptian con men on every turn. Bring water and something warm for the mornings if travelling in winter.

We had a lovely day during our private day trip to luxor. Our driver Hassam brought is safely to luxor from Makadi Bay and told is a few things on the way. When we arrived at the Karnak Temples, we meet our guide for the day, Naama. She was so friendly and her English is perfect. She knows so much about the history and the stories behind the different places we visited. Naama and Hassam made our visit to Luxor amazing!

First of all the communication with the trip organizer via WhatsApp went very well. Our driver picked us (almost) punctual with a decently comfortable sedan and drove us safely to Luxor.

Our guide Mohi, a Luxor local was very knowledgable, caring and very kind.

The trip was organised based on our wishes and considering the least crowed times at the sites. We visited Hatsheptsut temple, the valley of kings (3 tombs), colosses of Mamnon and made a small stop at a Alabaster factory (as we asked for it. In the end we did not buy anything but was a very positive experience, not pushy at all, good explanations and little demonstration). After a great lunch at a place for locals next to the Nile (No comparison to our 5 star all inclusive hotel buffet or the touristic place of another agency. Food was exceptionally good!) we took a very relaxed Felucca trip (avoid the motorboats, noisy and polluting air and water) with some delicious complementary local mango. After the impressive grande finale at Karnak we paid the trip (no pre payment required) said goodbye to our amazing guide and our driver brought us again safely back home.

And while other companies asked a rediciouls amount of money (most probably to pay all those middle mans) the price seemed very resonable to us.
