It was a great and eventful trip, away from the tourist routes. Our driver Niko entertained us fantastically, gave us lots of information about Crete and made the trip a very entertaining experience.
We were picked up directly from the hotel in a Land Rover. From there we went to a honey museum with a very interesting tour, then we drove along an adventurous gravel road to a small farm. There we were allowed to milk goats and the milk was made into cream cheese on site. Very interesting and above all tasty. From there we drove to a tavern for lunch. On the way we were lucky enough to see the bearded vultures that live there in the wild. An impressive experience to see the magnificent birds with a 2.50 m wingspan circling above you.

We had a fantastic tour guide, his name was Thomas, and he was able to give us a great insight into the country and its conditions. We saw a lot that we wouldn't have seen on our own. We saw so much, from olive production to cheese production. A highlight was the cave in which Zeus was supposedly born and the museum that is also located there. Highly recommended, you just have to do this tour.
