We had two amazing days with Cristiana and her family. We feel like a family now!
They have welcomed us with a big hug and from the first moment we felt wonderful with them.
We wonted to give the girls (15, 18) an Italian experience. They love pizza and pasta and always make it at home. So, to Learn the Italian way of doing that was the perfect gift for them.
my daughter has celiac, and we also have some food allergies and Cristiana was the perfect one for the job.
She had customized everything to our needs and made our visit in Rome a perfect one!
For the first day we did the pasta class. First, we make the gluten free pasta and learn some knew trick to make the perfect pasta. And the perfect ravioli with a ricotta, Spinach feeling.
And then we made the same with a regular flower.
She even manages to get my husband to do kitchen work, and we hope that he will become our pasta men from now on.
After that we had a very nice lance with her husband Luka and her mom and daughter Gaya.
The pasta with the broccoli was the best one I have ever eaten!! Cristiana made so many good and delicious Dishes and pamper us so mach. Her supply is so so good that you must visit her even just to eat that!!
For the second day we had a pizza festival. We started with the gluten free and then for the regular one. We learn the Cristiana Italian stale to make a pizza. With knew and exiting toping.
We also learned how to make a real Italian tiramisu (wow!!)
And then we had a wonderful dinner. With her supper nice husband Luka and her son Daniele.
And she was pampering us with a wonderful cake that she make specially for us and tiramisu for dessert.
I highly recommend everyone to have this experience with Cristiana it was the Highlight of the vacation, and we had the best time and gain an Italian for ever friend (:
Thank you for every thing!
Love Yael, Itzik, Shani and Agam

We had an unforgettable evening with Luciana! We loved learning new spins on well known dishes (the lemon tiramisu was a game changer!) and we will incorporate the gnocchi making technique she showed us into many dinners when we return home. The incorporation of lemon into our dishes expressed so clearly her love of the flavors of her hometown and we were honored for her to share them with us. We loved trading antidotes back and forth about daily life to get a real picture of rome and the amalfi. And as an italian american, it was especially wonderful to see how so many of my family's traditions and cultural nuances are so tied to our roots in italy, despite the many generations that have passed since our emigration. Our only regret was not having enough time to book a second activity with Luciana - but we will be back again on a future trip to explore mercato testaccio with her!

As we were walking to Sveva's home for our dining experience, I admit to some trepidation. This was immediately vanquished by Sveva's warm hello and easy going manner. We felt immediately welcome into her fascinating, typically Roman apartment. By partaking in the cooking experience, sharing wonderful banter, cracking open a bottle of wine, eating her AMAZINGLY simple, flavorful, traditional and light cuisine, we truly got to understand the Roman essence. This night was the highlight of our time in Rome, an unforgettable evening. Grazie Sveva!!!!

Sveva was a great hostess and very good at teaching me and my husband how traditional tiramisu, bruschetta and pasta is made. I recommend her to anyone visiting the Rome area. We had a wonderful time making and eating the wonderful food.

We are a family of four who stayed in Venice over Christmas 2018. As we normally spend Christmas day with family, we decided to find a new family to have lunch with. So we booked the La Cesarine experience for December 25th with high hopes and no expections. We were very pleasantly surprised, and it turned out to be a highlight of our entire trip.

The experience we booked was 'lunch' experience for 3 hours. La Cesarine arranges the meeting point and time by email. Our host met us at a nearby piazza, which turned out to be a smart idea as we probably would not have been able to find the apartment, as it is located on a somewhat private campo (small square).

The apartment was warm and comfortable and our hosts had a beautifully set dining table ready for us. Our hosts both spoke English very well, and as it turns out, we had much in common and lots to talk about. Lunch started with an excellent local wine and a salad the likes of which I probably will never be able to duplicate and was simply outstanding, followed by a pasta course with sides of meatballs and vegetables. Everything was home made and excellent. Dessert was local panettone. We were, in the end, very full and very happy. We received La Cesarine aprons for the kids as gifts.

Our hosts were very friendly and gracious for spending their Christmas lunch with us. The hit of the day was their pet cat who was gentle and kept the kids occupied while we adults had time to talk.

I would highly recommend this experience if you are looking to connect with local folks in the city you are visiting in a way that would otherwise be largely impossible. One thing to be aware of is that the La Cesarine web site could be a bit more clear about a cooking experience versus a what we had, which is a dining experience (in other words, like being invited to someone's house for lunch or dinner). I would not hesitate to try La Cesarine again on our next adventure to Italy.

My husband and I went to Giulia's home in Rome for lunch. It was really great to see an Italian home chef at work. Giulia doesn't speak English so her charming niece, Patrizia, translated for us, then we all ate together. Giulia made potato fritatta, deep fried pizza, lemon chicken, pasta, and an egg dish that I can't remember the name of, capped off with three kinds of cake and homemade limoncello. There was also free-flowing wine. Everything was absolutely delicious. I think you have the choice of assisting with the meal preparation or just watching. We chose to just watch, but either way, I highly recommend this activity. Thanks to Giulia and Patrizia for a memorable day.

Elisabetta was warm and welcoming, picked us up at the train station when I called to clarify the directions and then took us back at the end of the evening. Her husband didn’t speak English, we were still able to communicate a little with him, would have lived to speak Italian so we could have understood more as he was charming and funny. Dinner was 4 courses and wine, lovely evening, highly recommend!

This is country wide in Italy and if you have the chance I would definitely recommend this! We were staying in Sorrento and had the best experience of our trip with Rosa! Her lovely niece was there to translate. The food and wine were both amazing. What a wonderful experience it was for all 4 of us. I would love to do this again. Met awesome people, learned new cooking techniques and ate amazing food.
