We booked the Oahu photo tour and it was great! Emily was our guide and not only took us places we knew about but also spots we would have never found on our own. Absolute dream of a day with Shawn from Blue Hawaii We did the East Coast of O’ahu on half day tour with 8 people in our family. Saw over ten unique, historic locations along the East Coast. Shawn poured into us the history of the island, the people and the culture in a fun way that my 7 year old AND the his 80 year old grandfather enjoyed! Truly an exceptional experience that was extra special due to Shawn’s local knowledge and connections. Highly recommend.

For anyone who is short of time and need a quick overview of the Island, this is a great tour. The stops made for photos were awesome. The weather, full of sunshine, on the day of my tour was excellent for great sightseeing of the sits and for photos. Emily, my guide, was a safe driver and a very helpful and insightful guide. I booked the Oahu Island Photography Tour in October 2023 while on a cruise across the South Pacific. I had the best day with Jenny: we made numerous stops from the cruise port where she picked my up, from the south end of the island, including lots of seascapes, which I loved, lots of beautiful landscapes, and ended up at the North Shore shooting fabulous waves and surfers! I was so lucky to have wonderful weather and great waves and surfers. I highly recommend Blue Hawaii Photo Tours.

We had a great private tour hosted by the fabulous Jenny! Blue Hawaii provided a nice clean 12 seater van that made the tour for the six of us very comfortable. Our tour host was very knowledgeable and engaging with an encyclopedic knowledge of the Island - especially regarding the hundreds of famous movies filmed here. It is so interesting to see the enormous outwelling of lava that created this dot in the middle of the Pacific - the Northeast side of Oahu so different from the beaches of Waikiki. We got to see turtles on the beach, a monk seal and surfers riding 15 footers - amazing! And through the magic of Jenny's photography we got a photo with tyrannosaurus rex and Jurassic Park in the background. And, finally, to top it all off, a little history on the sugar cane and pineapple businesses. A great way to see this beautiful island.

This was a last minute booking for us. My husband and I had one full day in Honolulu so we wanted to make the most of our time. We booked a 5 hour private tour with a short list of places we wanted to see. Our guide, Emil was great!!! We visited everything we wanted to see as well as hidden gems Emil suggested. As an added bonus, Emil was a professional photographer that was more than willing to take all the photos we wanted. Booking this private tour was well worth the cost.
We were able to spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach at our hotel after a perfect tour. Thanks Emil 😎🌸

Our tour guide, Jenny, was so knowledgeable about Hawaiian history and consistently shared interesting facts/tips about the island. She was funny, bubbly, and sweet. I highly recommend Jenny as a guide to anyone interested in this tour! Plus, the ocean views are incredible!

Unfortunately our tour was cancelled by the operator due to lack of customers. A full refund was offered and accepted but I had to spend hours with Viator/Trip Advisor to get my refund sorted. Blue Hawaii Photo Tours offered me an alternative that only I could partake due to my wife’s pre-engagement and opted for the Sunset photo tour. In my opinion the tour was rushed and opportunities for the photography was not the best. Others on the tour were a family and only wanted quick phone photography. I would have preferred less but better options and spent longer time at each to be able to compose my shots. If you are a serious photographer I wouldn’t recommend the Sunset Photo Tour. The only other thing was the tour guide was not a photographer but did know about the local history and area.
