What better way to learn about Hanoi's street food than with a well-respected local chef. Departing at 4am might sound extreme, but trust us, you'll see a side of Hanoi, without the tourist crowds, that can't be experienced at any other time. We had a fab tour of the Hanoi market in the early morning. The market was buzzing with wholesalers and vendors moving their product and putting it in place for the day’s deliveries. Some to local vendors and outside vendors alike.
It was a symphony of organized chaos. I loved every second of it.
We sampled a number of items from food carts and market vendors. All items were both delicious and unique. The early morning perspective in the market is vacant of tourists and filled with local vendors moving produce, fish, meat freshly caught and picked for that day of sale. The food was so beautifully fresh! Thank you for a fab tour!

An amazing tour seeing a completely different side to Hanoi! Exploring the early morning market was incredible. Our guide was fantastic and full of local knowledge. We were able to sample some of Hanoi's most famous dishes!

Went on the dawn food tour with chef Duyen and found it really fun and informative. Going through the market when it is at full swing before sunrise was a really great experience. Duyen was a great guide, everything ran on time and we really enjoyed the tour. Recommend!

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever done - Chef Duyen was so knowledgeable and kind - she’s lived and worked in this area for nearly 30 years and ran into friends all over. This was the thoroughness and detail I’ve been wanting as a food person - and also really interesting to understand how the market and city function! We had the best bun cha, pho and banh mi of the entire trip! What a great experience :-)

What an experience ! Chef Duyen knows the market as her pocket and will guide you confidently through the aisles of the market while giving you so much information about how the place is actually working.
Make sure you arrive with an empty stomach as you're going to taste a lot of great street food !

Brilliant tour for foodies. Chef Duyen was a wonderful, upbeat and informative guide. Come hungry as there is a lot of food to sample. Really wonderful way to start the day in hectic Hanoi style - a true insight into Hanoi’s market life and general culture.
