After visiting a local market to get all the Fresh ingredients needed for the Day Menu you will go to the home of the Chef for a Hands-on cooking class and food tastings, participate in the creation of a full Mexican meal.

Chef Francisco is a warm and knowledgeable chef/host. From the moment we met him at the market, he provided us with his knowledge and insights about buying produce and meats for our meal. He and Luz welcomed us into their home and treated us as family. The hands on experience of preparing and cooking our carnitas meal was both fun and educational. I would highly recommend Cookin’ San Jose anytime you visit San Jose del Cabo.

Cookin Vallarta was an amazing adventure. We were met by Francisco at the market where we did some shopping and learned about picking vegetables. We then went to the best tortilla factory in San Jose (Tortilleria El Molinito) and then to his home where we created the most amazing hibiscus flavoured margarita. He then taught us to make the best tamales I’ve ever tasted. Thanks Francisco 🙏🏾

It was the first time we have attended a cooking class and it was such a fun event, with Francisco not just being our head chef, but driver, tour guide and host. He is such a wonderful person that made this the highlight of our trip to Cabo, we also had such a fun group of people that made it even more enjoyable when everyone was engaged and having fun. Highly recommended.

Chef Francisco was very informative and an excellent chef. Learned about picking freshest produce at the market and went to Francisco’s home to make fresh lime juice margarita and prepare a meal. Made tamales, pico de gallo, guacamole, poblano side dish. All delicious and he was so gracious. Wonderful excursion and highly recommended.

This was our second time taking the cooking class. Chef Francisco meets you @ a local market. You pick out your ingredients for what you will be making that day while he explains local foods & produce. You hop in his car, pick up some masa from a local shop & then head to his home. We were welcomed into his home with open arms. We made hibiscus margaritas, 2 different types of salsa, guacamole, Rojas, homemade tortillas & Carnitas. The food was absolutely amazing but the time spent with family & Chef Francisco was priceless. I would highly recommend this experience!
