We see the live kiwi in the kiwi house, it is so cute! My children thought they are small dinosaurs! And the Mandarin audio equipment is also very friendly to children who can not listen to English

The Kiwi Park is situated right next to the entry of the skyline and Gondola. It has all the native wildlife birds and lizards including the very cute Kiwis thag you can see in the dark. It also has gift shops and a honey shop. It is great value for money, really beautiful and educational.

I visited the Kiwi Park with a student and really enjoyed the experience. The park is well maintained and set out on 5 acres. Head sets in various languages were available and a map to navigate the walking track. A variety of birds and reptiles are included.
The highlight was seeing a kiwi and listening to a talk on kiwi conservation in New Zealand. At the end of the walk we attended the Wildlife Conservation show and managed to get up close and personable with a Tuatara. Allow 2.5 hours, wrap up warm in winter as most is outdoors. There's a gift shop and cafe.

Not worth $55 an adult
Gardens nice but not many birds or animals
Far too cold in the Kiwi enclosure , waited too long for guide to come
Would not recommend

The Kiwi Park is well set out and carries a variety of wildlife. Headsets in different languages and a map is available to help navigate the 5 acre bush. We were delighted to see you can actually step into some of the bird cages. One of the highlights of our visit was seeing Kiwis and listening to a talk about Kiwi conservation in New Zealand. The finale of our visit was watching the interesting conservation show. We were able to get up close and personable with some of the animals seen on our tour. A great introduction to New Zealand's wildlife. Allow 2 to 2.5 hours.

As a non profit they depend on our contributions as responsible citizens and tourists to assist in the conservation of endangered species… and they do it very well!!! Beautiful surroundings, happy birds including the precious Kiwi birds who are being raised responsibly to be released into the wild once matured. The entrance fee is good for 3 full days and the park offers shoes and care keep lessons. A must do and support!

Regrettably, our visit to the Kiwi Park wasn't quite what we hoped for. Initially, we were greeted by a young woman who hurried through the information, more focused on her phone than on us. The park itself was rather disappointing; sparse enclosures with only a couple of birds each left us expecting more, especially given the $55 per person admission. We managed to tour the entire park in less than an hour. The highlight was undoubtedly the kiwi exhibit, which we would have preferred to pay less to just see that.

I brought my parents from the US here and they had such a fun afternoon! After being disappointed by the lack of birds they saw at Zealandia when they were in Wellington, they were so excited to not only see so many native birds, but get extremely close to some of them. The Kea enclosure and the Conservation show were their favorites!

We visited this family owned park at the end of our three week trip to NZ. We had also visited Kiwi experiences in Franz Josef and Rotorua (we like birds). This was our favorite. The conservation show was engaging and fun. The Kiwi House had nice opportunities to view the Kiwi. We also got to get close to several birds that we had spotted in the wild, but then could study them a bit more. The park is beautifully maintained and a nice respite from the business of Queenstown.
