Croatia’s second longest peninsula Peljesac is famous for its red wine based on Plavac Mali wine sort (cousin of Zinfandel), delicious oysters and mussels growing in the brackish waters of Mali Ston Bay, Ston city walls, and its salt pans. It is less than an hour's drive from the city of Dubrovnik.

We have been doing this tour for years and our guests absolutely adore our fisherman friend Mario, and unique experience of being alone in the bay at our fisherman's oyster beds and tasting best oysters in Mali Ston right from the sea.

You'll enjoy:
- Walking tour of Ston – Gothic medieval town, surrounded by 6 kilometers of city walls and its famous 14. salt pans.
- Private boat ride with local fisherman to his oyster beds and oysters (5 per pax) and wine tasting on site
- wine-tasting in a local boutique winery – great wine and organic olive oil tasting
Tour with an experienced local English-speaking driver/guide.
Chance for lunch or dinner in some of well well-known Ston restaurants.

We had a fantastic time with Miho from Doria Tours. We were picked up at our AirBNB in Dubrovnik and taken to an oyster farm in Peljesac where we met Mario, a local oyster farmer. He showed us how oysters had been farmed there for centuries and served us oysters straight out of the water with some local wine. We then had an amazing visit to a nearby winery, tasting several types of grappa and 6-7 great wines (red and white). The tour guide was very friendly and generous with his time and knowledge. Finally, we visited the city of Ston, encircled by the second longest wall in the world (2nd only to the great wall of China), before we were brought back to our place. Throughout the tour Miho was a pleasure to be with - sharing tons of information about Dubrovnik and Croatian history and society. He went out of his way to take care of us, even pulling one of his daughter's vests from his trunk when my daughter was cold. I would highly recommend this tour and guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

We had a fantastic tour with our tour guide Ivo. The wine and the scenery were great and Ivo was incredibly knowledgeable about the history (ancient and modern) of the places we visited.

I cant speak enough about how fun and great this tour was! We were picked up at our hotel, driven to Ston where we had the BEST oysters and experience. Direct from the source! Mario was so entertaining and Stefan was great in providing information as he drove us. The winery we went to didn't dissapoint either!
Family owned and ran, very good wines. Highly recommend to anyone going to Dubrovnik to please book this, you won't be disappointed!! Such a unique experience ans Ston area is beautiful too!! It was my friend and I that went and we would do it again!!

Our tour guide Ivo was excellent. He did a great job educating our family about the history of the area, how oysters are farmed and the local wine making process. He also recommended a very nice restaurant by the water in Ston (Seosko Domacinstvo Ficovic) that had great seafood and a reasonable price.

I highly recommend this tour as a way to get away from the Old Town crowds for a day and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Peljesac Pennisula without having to sit in the car for too long or cross any borders. Mario took us on his boat and we had fresh oysters from the bay and great homemade wine. The visit to the winery was informative and the wines were of high quality. The visit to Ston and Mali Ston were fun as well. Overall I highly recommend this day trip.

Ivan was wonderful, and felt like he was our friend showing us around rather than our tour guide. The oysters were delicious and such a cool experience, despite questionable weather Ivan made sure we had the full oyster experience without a hitch. The wine was some of the best from our trip. At the end Ivan wished we had told him our next stop was Korcula because he would have arranged for an easy transfer to make our day less hectic, but since we hadn’t, he called our hotel and arranged for them to meet us all at his car with our luggage, and then he took us to the ferry terminal. He even spotted us a couple euros to tip the porter from the hotel. Very much above and beyond, the entire experience once again made it feel like he was our friend showing us around his hometown, rather than a tour guide doing his job. Cannot recommend highly enough! 💜. It was the highlight of our 3 days in Dubrovnik!

This was a beautiful tour arranged for my small group in Dubrovnik! Ivo was the most wonderful guide to this beautiful country!!! His command of English, his good humor and knowledge of all things Croatian was incredible! Also, Mario, the oyster man, the young woman at our first winery (American husband with new daughter) and Mr. Vukas at his own winery were absolutely delightful! Ivo is a credit to this company! If we ever have the chance to return to this beautiful country or if we are ever asked for recommendations, we will HIGHLY recommend this company!!!
We enjoyed two amazing wineries (one large and one small), oysters and homemade wine with Mario, the stunningly beautiful countryside, authentic Croatian food specialties (risottos and delicious desserts) and, most of all, the wonderful company of our most competent and interesting guide, Ivo! This is a tour not to be missed when visiting Croatia!

Rain just stopped few minutes before we arrived to Ston, so we had eaten fresh oysters directly from the sea. Wine we tried later was too strong but presentation was interesting and cheese was delicious. Good job guys!
