This tour is amazing. We had a child 10 and Grandma 67 and the tour suited them both. The staff were so caring making sure everyone was okay during the canyon tubing. The canyon is beautiful that you go along water very clean and tubes in amazing condition. We did the buggy which was a good option for younger and older as they can be a passenger in a comfortable secure seat and enjoy the ride. Nice and stable but still so much fun.

The canyon tubing was probably the best experience of the whole trip for me. Couldn’t believe more people hadn’t booked it in! Loved every second of it!

The best activity company we had in Bali by far!
The River canyon tubing was fantastic, awesome scenery & unbelieveable journey through such an amazing place and it was much longer than expected which was a pleasant surprise!
The Discovery tour on ATV & buggy was also quite lengthy (in comparison to other ATV tours we did there), again amazing scenery and great guides.
ALL up we had a great day from the pick up in Nusa Dua to the village & return! we had a great driver with comfortable car (over 2 hour trip each way) to the ATV discovery tour.

We opted to do the river tubing adventure and also the quad biking tour.

We did the tubing first and then the quad biking. I would recommend you take a change of clothes from the tubing for quad bikes, and then also a change from quad bikes to going home as you will get wet and then very dusty/dirty.

The tubing experience was great, just make sure you pay attention to the instruction videos and if you do fall out of the dinghy, YOU MUST LET GO OF IT. I stupidly forgot this and help onto it and dragged myself down the river and ended up with a few grazes and quite bruised from it. I’m quite sore from it the day after as you get dragged over the sharp/rough rocks if you aren’t careful. This isn’t a negative experience as it was my own stupid fault for forgetting to let go of the dinghy as I didn’t realise that the staff take spares down the river with them. Also, make sure you wear shoes that will stay on your feet and have grip, you will be walking over wet, mossy rocks at times and they are slippery. Stupidly I thought flip flops would be fine as I didn’t know this and nearly lost them to the river a lot. Someone else on the trip wore sliders and had the same happen.

Make sure you are confident with the water as the current is deceptively strong. I did fall out again going over a waterfall and ended up submerged under water. The river is usually up to half a meter deep, so normally this would be fine, but the base of the waterfall where I was was deeper than I am tall (6ft) as I couldn’t touch the floor to get out. The staff quickly rushed to help and managed to get me pulled out of the water. I was the only person this happened to, so don’t let it put you off bookings to do this as it was a brilliant day, just be mindful that you need to be confident in your abilities.

We did the quad bike tour after lunch. The food at lunch was quite simple, but nice, there was rice, noodles, soup, fries, chicken curry, grilled chicken on sticks and sticky honey chicken, sweet chilli tofu (was surprisingly really nice as I usually don’t like tofu) and a few other vegetable dishes. You can purchase fizzy drinks and beer there too, there was coke, sprite and strawberry Fanta to buy.

The quad biking tour was good, I “upgraded” to have a buggy as the instruction video said it was easier to steer. I wish I had stuck with a quad bike as I was the only one in the group in a buggy (thankfully at the back of it as I’d have ended up holding the whole thing up). The buggy steering was really vague and felt quite hard to control. The main issue and annoyance I had was the turning/steering on it wasn’t great at all. Everyone else on the quad bikes could turn on the tighter corners with ease, but the buggy wouldn’t make it round in one go, so I ended up having to stop, reverse and then go forward again. It was annoying as I get I was holding the group up keep having to wait for me to catch-up. All of the quads went round the corners issue free, so I’d definitely recommend sticking with the quad bikes.

All in all, it was a great day out, the staff were great and the river tubing was something I’ve not seen anywhere else before.

I don’t know if they take card payments, so make sure you bring cash, as they do photography for you on both experiences. We paid 500k IDR for a USB with the photos on it.

Do give it a go, just be mindful of your abilities in the water.

Amazing trip.

It's a European owned company so the equipment is top quality but they do employ locals. It is more expensive than other tours but I think that's because the equipment accords with European standards and it's less touristy.

We had 2 buggy's and a quadbike with two guides. The explanations were via video so very clear.

It was challening/physical for those without 4WD or motorbike experience but they definitely accommodated different levels of experience and we did a practice route before setting off. I expected to be covered in mud but wasn't. Unlike other tours we saw, we travelled through agricultural areas and small villages with only a few quiet roads. I think we only passed a few bikes in total and certainly no tourists. It was great to see local everyday life and some beautiful scenery over the 15km or so.

The river tubing was definitely a highlight of our Bali trip. Again, we didn't see a single person. The 4WD trip down was pretty hairy (my husband said it was fine)! The free zipline was 80m long - much longer than expected.

The canyon was stunning. We floated and bounced along for at least an hour - we saw two waterfalls and went down countless mini rapids. We couldn't stop laughing. No one fell in and again, we had 4 guides for 6 persons so we were well looked after. It's very shallow so even if you did, you could stand up. We had to exit our tube a few times to walk down big drops and then re-enter.

Please tip the guides - they were so appreciative and it's well deserved for their hard work.

This is not a bad review of BQDT.
For most people, this will be a fun day out.
There are those who have previously complained on price. It is up to the person to check prices first.
There are those who have previously complained about the time to get to BQDT. It is a distance off, and Bali traffic/roads don't allow for a quick trip there.

The trip time was expected, the safety video was expected (newer quads not shown, but I've ridden quads before), the quad was in good working order, the quad ride ran to time (it was just me and the guide), the canyon tubing was good (it was just me and two river guides).
The main choice for me to use BQDT, was that the canyon tubing had transport back up from the finish point, rather than walk up 100's of stairs, and I was thankful for that.

Only concerns I had with the day out..
The shower pressure is a little low, as could be expected, and a small touch of the tap could jump it from cold to too hot. More a note, rather than an issue.

After I had been picked up by the driver to head towards BQDT, was after 20 minutes into the drive when he announced he hadn't been feeling too well, and that he best put on his face mask. It really did feel like he knew that he should have had his mask on the whole time, but did not. I asked to pull over to some markets to buy one for myself (I had forgotten mine while getting ready).

I guess I had a "comparison" issue. I've done other day trips like this before in Bali.
I've done other quad bike rides, where there was more water crossings, more chance of getting muddy, and also places which have water tracks to zoom around in.
I've done another canyon tube ride, where there was not as many times you had to get in/out of the ride, and that there was also the chance to sit back, chill, and enjoy just floating along. I did feel a lot of this ride, the guides were pushing/pulling me along.

This post is not meant to detract from what BQDT offers. Far from it.
It's a "me" thing. It just didn't have some of the things I've enjoyed in other tours I've done.

It was kinda fun but not worth the €66 you drive slow and i feel like your on a ride at the fair.
You only go in slow circles around the track not really fun if you really want the adventure.
I assume great for kids with their parents.

The quads needs some maintenance aswell.

It takes a full two hours each way to get to the location from Denpasar but it is well worth the trip. I’ve never had so much fun. We went after there’d been quite a bit of rain and the roads and trails were very muddy, which made it extra fun. All the enjoyment is in the driving so make sure you each get your own - don’t be a passenger. Buggies have a roll bar and harness seat belts and are therefore much safer than quads, although both are great fun. Full credit to the people of Seming who have to endure quad bikes and buggies roaring through their beautiful village each day!
After the buggy/quad tour we had a delicious hot Balinese lunch.
Canyon tubing was next and was also good fun (for most) and the scenery is spectacular. This lasts for about 90 mins. A word of warning though - I do not recommend canyon tubing for larger people who cannot sit upright in a tube. You do need to be able to manoeuvre your body as you travel down the canyon and if you can’t shift your body weight forward and sit upright, then you’ll likely be tossed out. This happened to me four times and I ended up with a few cuts and grazes and was probably lucky I didn’t land more heavily on the rocks. This risk should be highlighted more openly by the operators.

My family of 4 booked the Buggy Discovery + Canyon Tubing. This is the best part of our trip to Bali! It is pricy but the tour was amazing. We had separate guides for the buggy and tubing tours.

Booking the tour: I had a hard time booking and paying for the tour on their website. We had several emails back and forth. They had to manually hold my reservation and they sent me a Paypal payment request before we can finalize the booking.

RT Transportation: Although we didn’t pay for the private transportation, we got a private car for the transportation from/to Nusa Dua. The driver is friendly and very knowledgeable of the areas. I recommend if you want to do this tour, stay in Ubud. It took us 2 hours each way.

Canyon Tubing: The tour had 3 guides plus one photographer for the 4 of us. The water was from the mountains and super clear and clean. Even in late August, the water was cold but you get used to the temperature after the initial dunking. There were 3-4 areas where you need to get off the tubing and walk over. The scenery along the river was so beautiful. At the beginning, it was all rocks and cliffs around the river then slowly the scenery became more flat around the river.

Buggy: I was surprised how difficult it is to drive the buggy. It was all manual steering. My son was in the passenger seat and sometimes he had to help me turn the wheel because you need arm strength to turn the wheel. We were made to do a few rounds around the test track before exiting the compound. If you drive carefully around the water, you won’t be muddy and need a shower afterwards! We finished the buggy tour at 5pm. Since we were not muddy, we decided not to shower before we left the compound.

Photographer: There was a photographer that followed us through the 2 tours. He took many pictures. Make sure you bring CASH if you plan to buy any of the pictures. Since we didn't know that, we didn't have that much cash (local or foreign currencies).

Overall, we had an amazing time. We knew we will have a good time but it ended up being the best part of the trip. Personally, I enjoyed the Canyon Tubing more than the Buggy Tour. I would have like the buggy tour more if there was power steering!
