Having only 2 hours at your disposal, the "Island & sea caves" excursion is exactly what we recommend; after embarking, we head towards the big port.
You will begin to see the majesty of the large port, which is one of the largest natural ports in the Mediterranean, immediately afterwards we will see the Arethusa fountain with its charm from the sea and the immense Maniace castle that indicates the exit of the port.
After leaving the island, we head towards the north coast of Syracuse where, between a sip of fresh juice and tasting of excellent fresh fruit, we approach the caves where we immediately start with a beautiful 10-minute swim stop.
After having cooled down a bit, we begin to enter the various caves: the capuchin cave, the coral cave and finally the large cave, also known as the stalactite cave, yes, because inside during the times suggestive limestone shapes were formed that we will reveal only when you will be on board.

Fun time - including opportunities to swim in the sea and into a lovely bay. Very nice guy in charge of the boat - knowledgeable and approachable. Good English, and happy to speak in both Italian and English.

Reasonably priced couple of hours with an informative guide, with stunning scenery everywhere. Not much to see when snorkelling, but that's not the fault of the tour operator, and it was still really nice to get in for a dip, and in two different places. The fresh fruit platter and prosecco were really tasty

Perfect end to a perfect day roaming the streets of Siracusa and Ortigia, having lunch then boarding the boat. Michael Angelo (Micki) was the BEST captain sharing great history, landmarks and bringing us to the most BEAUTIFUL swimming area with sea caves. After swimming for quite a while we then toured the sea and other sea caves while munching on fresh fruit, Proseco and other beverages. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience a day on the water!

A most enjoyable experience!
As English speakers there was discussion that was only in Italian. The Driver was very nice and attentive otherwise.
No snorkelling offered but we had a lovely swim!

We took the early morning trip that wasn’t so popular which meant less crowded. The 2 hour trip turned out better than we expected. We had the opportunity from the boat to swim, see the caves, the fort and the castle. We shared a bottle of Prosecco with the small group. We were back in time to get cleaned up and go out for lunch.

Salvo was an excellent guide. He explained everything very well and his English was really good.
We visited the caves and then had some time swimming in the sea.
We all agreed that 2 hours was the right length of time and we all thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
Would highly recommend

Very nice cruise. We did not get a lot of explications during the cruise but it was ok. The rock music was a bit weird I would have preferred some classical Italian music.

There are many trips and companies available, but we chose this on the strength of previous reviews, and it was the right choice. Our guide Salvo was great, he was friendly, good company, and told us lots of interesting things about the history of Ortigia and the caves, the bay in which it sits, and Isola on the other side. We got to swim for about 20 minutes or so, had fresh fruit and prosecco, and just an all round great couple of hours pottering around the beautiful coastline. Just remember to duck right down at the end!
