The guide was very knowledgeable and kind. The tour was full of information but too intense. We walked over 2 hours in the heat without stopping. We found it too long and a bit boring.
Don’t confuse this tour with a food tour, that’s what we thought it would be.

This tour was amazing! We had one night in Venice and this walking tour through all of the backstreets was amazing. Our guide shared so much information and history. We stopped several times and tried local cuisine ans wines in tiny pubs off the beaten path!

The Secret Venice and Cicchetti Tour was the highlight of our visit to Venice. Natasha was an excellent guide providing us with the detailed history of Venice and overview of current Venetian life. We really enjoyed the visual aids she showed us on her tablet, while we learned more about the historical locations we walked to. She took us to cicchetti bars that we would not have found otherwise and taught us how to order ombra. We really appreciated her guided selections of cicchetti based on our preference to try many seafood options! Natasha also showed us how to make free reservations to the scenic rooftop terrace at Fondaco dei Tedeschi in between cicchetti stops. It was wonderful to do this tour on our first night in Venice, as we were able to get great restaurant and gelato suggestions from Natasha!

We were delighted that ShoMe Venice could organise our tour on short notice. Our tour guide Natalia was superb. She was so enthusiastic about Venice and shared many interesting stories of Venice, its history, neighbourhoods and citizens. The cicchetti bars she selected for us were infamous to locals and long part of Venice history, we would never have found them ourselves. Understanding the story behind the food made it all the more tastier! We will now order our wine as ombra… just ask Natalia to tell you the story…

This tour was the perfect way to discover Venice. This was our third time in Venice (we came back during our honeymoon) and were blown away by how much we didn’t yet know about this beautiful city. Luca took us away from the crowded tourist spots and showed us the city’s truly hidden and authentic gems. Luca is equal parts funny, friendly and informative - we loved hanging out with him! You could also tell that Luca was a true local, as he got greeted by fellow Venetians along the way and could answer any question you threw at him. Thank you again, Luca, for this wonderful experience! (PS: he has great tips for buying glassware from Murano - just ask him!)

Luca is an incredible human being, and he was born to be a tour guide! Having traveled extensively, I get a little snooty about tours and how they are For Tourists, but my dad had booked this so I went along with the plan. Boy, was I proven wrong every step of the way. Luca was knowledgeable, funny, sharp, accommodating, and a genuine joy to be around. He gave a perfect recommendation for a birthday dinner while we were in Venice and answered every single question we threw at him, not to mention his ingenuity of pivoting to virtual tours during the pandemic. I would do another tour with him in a heartbeat, and urge everyone visiting Venice to do the same.

In August 2020 we had booked a tour with a very well prepared and organised tour guide Luca. You can not find better : Luca is a very ambitious and entertaining guide. He findes the perfect balance between facts and figures and stories about former Venice and Venice today, so you will never get bored. It was not our first time in Venice but this time the knowledge about Venice will last much longer the any reading in a travel guide bring forth . Both , my husband and I, were impressed about this young professional, who loves to hand over his knowledge, has a good sense of timing in his presentation and - you feel it -, who´s heart is beating for his home town. HIGHELY recommanded!
