After complimentary accommodation pick-up, we will set off for the heart of Gibbston on a small private tour to visit four cellar doors and journey into the ‘valley of the vines’ to discover these vineyards nestled amongst the spectacular mountain ranges and dramatic river gorges.
Before we get to the first winery there will be a stop at a scenic location and travellers will learn about wine-tasting techniques and wine aromas while soaking up the fabulous views.
In one of the wineries, we will savour a vineyard platter or a cheese board to pair with the wines. There will be time for you to order more food if you think you need (at your own expense).
We will visit boutique wineries that are off the beaten path. There is no set routine, so every day is an adventure. The choice of the wineries visited will vary each day based on your individual group's dynamics. The overall focus is on high-quality wines as well as friendly and informative staff.

The winery tour with Susana was absolutely fantastic!! She was amazing… extremely knowledgeable and informative… as well as conscientious and considerate. She took the time to tailor the day to fit each of our backgrounds and wants… and provided a great history and pertinent explanation to heighten our experience of the vineyards and wine-making in this region. We felt completely relaxed in spite of visiting 4 unique and extraordinary wineries. And she took amazing photographs which captured the day beautifully… to provide photo souvenirs which will remind us of this wonderful day for years to come. In all… Susana provided us with a memorable tour which I would emphatically recommend to anyone looking for a cultural experience in Queenstown… no matter how much you love wine… and no matter whether you are inexperienced in wine-tastings… or completely seasoned and well-versed in the art of wine appreciation!!

Susana was an AMAZING tour guide for us in our trip to Central Otago. She started the tour by teaching us about how to taste wines and what to look for at each of the wineries we visited. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and it was so special to have Susana pick out unique wineries, teach us about the region, and take amazing photos. If you are in the Queenstown area and looking to do a tour, would recommend definitely!

Susana was a fabulous, welcoming host, and very knowledgable about the region and its wine making history. She was attentive to each person in our party and made sure that everyone was looked after. Lunch at Mora was an absolute treat!
We would highly recommend the private tour.

My wife and I spent half a day with Susana and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip.
Susana picked wineries specifically for us, and had an excellent knowledge of wine in general, and the area in detail - much more that we did.
She was an excellent host and also had a good rapport with the winery owners.
We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Queenstown (assuming you like wine).

What an amazing experience this was! Susana was great and knowledgeable about the wine in the area as well as the history. She made the entire trip feel like a friendly road trip. We immediately connected with Susana as well as the others on the trip. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Susana was an impeccable host. Her knowledge of the wine-making history of the area was extensive and she devoted herself to ensuring the day went perfectly. She had made all the necessary arrangements ahead of time and was extremely flexible when our enthusiasm for some of the product meant that we fell behind our schedule, never pressuring us to hurry and ensuring we visited all of our chosen vineyards. She was very easy to get along with and entered into the fun of the day with a relaxed attitude. Her relationships with our chosen vineyards ensured that we received great attention from them and there was no pressure to buy from any of them. Indeed, she took on the responsibility of explaining to one vineyard that we did not wish to purchase any wine from them. We had a day of fun, laughter and superb wines and by the end of the day, it was as though Susana was an old friend. We highly recommend her tours

We had a lovely experience on the wine tour celebrating our friends birthday and visiting form Sydney. Susana was an amazing guide who made the tour enjoyable and also helped us to learn more about wine in New Zealand.
