Kieron was a great guide. He was informative and delivered the history information in an entertaining style- lots of funny stories and quips without it being too heavy on history. Highly recommend this tour.

We have learned that the best way to see a city is “rent a friend”. I was pleased to find Local Eyes Tours. Gary Ross, our guide, was a walking encyclopedia of history. He was also kind and engaged and we had a wonderful three hour private tour. Gary has such breadth of knowledge that we knew we were only scratching the surface of what he could have taught us. It was a wonderful way to experience Edinburgh.

Wow!! What an incredible way to see Old and New Town and learn such interesting history of Edinburgh. Madge was a truly amazing tour guide. Her knowledge, props, and stories kept us enthralled through a down pour. Even through the wet and cold nobody wanted to stop because Madge made it all so interesting and FUN! I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

For this, our second tour of the day, Kieran was our guide. Again, like our tour with David of Dean Village and New Town, Kieran was full or information imparted with a sense of humour. Although we had wandered the Royal Mile earlier in the day by ourselves, the local-led tour provided much more insight into what we were seeing.

Gary was very informative but also entertaining. He made the tour very enjoyable. He told great stories, probably more truth to some than I’d heard from another tour I was on.

Kieran did an excellent job. He was fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable. It was a quick 2 hours (although he made sure the walking pace was comfortable for all of us) and we saw parts of the city we had not seen before. Highly recommend!

We loved Kieran and all of his history and knowledge of Edinburg. Showing us extra nooks and crannies made the tour even more exciting .. Recomended spots to visit and eat that weren’t on the tour really was special. Wish we could give more than 5 stars !!
