Please note: this walk is not at all strenuous. Obviously there's some stairs but this is done at a leisurely pace and suitable for almost everyone.

This breathtaking 2 mile walking tour of San Francisco's hidden stairways is the #1 rated Airbnb Experience in the Bay Area. See gorgeous mosaic tiled steps and hear the stories behind them, then take in stunning 360° views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and downtown San Francisco. You'll also discover beautiful neighborhoods and gardens that tourists rarely see...you might even go home with a succulent!
I'll provide commentary, context and some history along the way.

Generally SF is dry May-October. There can be fog in the summertime, mostly in the morning. Temps rarely above 70F (21C) or below 50F (10C). Rain may cancel.

Wonderful & easy walk in the sunset neighborhood as the various plants & ‘theme’ of the stairways was explained. A little history, a clear day, and views of San Francisco you’ll see nowhere else! Greg, our guide, was an enthusiastic & gracious host

Three adults and three 8 year olds. It was so much fun, so interesting and our guide was amazing. Lots of interesting information shared. So much better than sitting on a tour bus. We all left feeling impressed that this outing was even better than we expected.

if there is anybody in the need of something to do in San Francisco, We suggest you take the Hidden stairway tour with Greg. Not only did he point out beautiful stairways. He also Is very very knowledgeable of the entire city. He’s funny he’s knowledgeable and answers all your questions. The wife and I highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our four day stay… The only complaint we had is that he is a giants fan….

Greg was very knowledgeable and passionate about San Francisco, specifically the Sunset district. He even knew a lot of the locals in the district and the artists of the stairs. Not only are the mosaic stairs beautiful, so are the gardens and houses in the area. We even got to eat a flower! The tour is slow paced but there are a lot of stairs that some people failed to understand and could not do. Once you reach the top, you get a beautiful overlook of the city and the Golden Gate Bridge off in a far distance. Greg took our pictures for us at the stairs and overlook, as well as various parts of the tour in which he creates a video. He shares the video link and also airdrops or sends any pictures he took. He offers succulents at the end that are from his garden. The tour ends where it started and Golden Gate Park is a short distance away.

Greg McQuaid was our guide and you could not have asked for a nicer, more informative person to take you on this journey. Well informed of history of area. Would never have known of these amazing works of art set in stairs without this tour. Greg even takes photos of everyone on steps and sends them to you free of charge. Even sent an amazing video of tour.
Very passionate and even donates back to community for upkeep of cleaning stairs.
