Lake Nakuru is among Kenya’s finest national parks. Flanked by rocky escarpments, pockets of forest and at least one waterfall, the park is pretty year-round. You will have a chance to visit makalia water falls ,
You can also expect to see huge both black and white rhinos; look past the hordes of horny baboons and you’ll see hippos, or perhaps a lucky leopard or two. There are also about 50 rare tree-climbing lions in the park, spotted several times per week. The usual zebras, buffaloes and Rothschild’s giraffes seal the deal.

It was okay. The driver was nice and respectful. But he wasn’t very much into it. During the pick up he mentioned that when he visited the place two days before my trip, they didn’t see many animals and tried to persuade me to just go to Nairobi National Park. I insisted that I paid for Lake Nakuru and I will not go anywhere else. It was also very clear that he was not an expert on wildlife - if you expect to have a real naturalist as a guide this is not for you! I’m honestly disappointed. He didn’t do much to help spot the animals. He simply drove (at some points very fast) and it’s up to you to ask him to stop if you noticed something. I was too disappointed that I simply asked him to drive me back to Nairobi after lunch instead of continuing with the safari! It does not worth the price considering you paid whatever Viator charges you + 60 USD entrance fee.

This was a fantastic safari. Eric was on time and drove safely the entire trip. He was an excellent tour guide with a keen eye. He spotted numerous animals that we would surely have missed seeing. Eric was very accommodating and maneuvered the vehicle to enable us to get the best photographs. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you have Eric as your driver / guide! I was an outstanding tour

Eric was a really friendly guide. He made the experience amazing. He stopped when i wanted to get pictures and he also stopped on the way so i could get water

This was such an exciting day. James and Eric took us to the Great Rift Valley and Lake Nakuru. During the drive we got an oral history of Kenya, from colonialism to the recent presidency - all based on our location. Please note, that the cost of the trip does NOT include entry into the park - this will be $60 USD - but it is well worth it for ALL of the animals, we even saw lions!! And bonus - you get to stand up in the safer van to ensure you have unobstructed views of the animals in nature. I would definitely sign up for this adventure again!
