Visit and wine tasting at three châteaux in the famous villages of Margaux, St Julien, Pauillac or St Estephe. This is the land of the grand impressive châteaux and we will visit three and pass infront of the most famous such as Lafite Rotthschild, Margaux and Latour. The terroir changes as we go up this rather flat landscape which forms a peninsular between the large Gironde Estuary and the Atlantic sea to the left. Increasing number of large gravel stones make the wine more fullbodied. We will taste the difference between a Margaux and a Pauillac. With thirty years of experience I will be able to impart my stories and experiences while we travel and visit. If there is one unique region to visit, this is it! I will include a smaller family property to show the difference and get closer to the winemaker.

We have been drinking wine for forty years but most have been from California and other states on the west coast. We have long deferred learning about French wines but have been curious to learn more for some time. We splurged for an all-day tour of three Médoc wineries with Nicolle Croft. We were very glad that we did.
Nicolle specializes in finding, as the name says, small independent producers of excellent and reasonably priced wines. We were delighted to try them and brought some home. She's extremely knowledgeable about the wines of France and their makers.
When we return we will book another tour with her.

A couple days after St Emilion with Nicolle, we had Emanuele show us the Medoc. Great knowledge and service skills, fun tastings and an amazing lunch! We're so thankful she could drop us off way down in Cadillac.

Loved the quaint countryside. Recommend booking a driver or tour if at all possible as the wineries/chateaus are spread out on the left bank and hard to get to unless in a vehicle.

We don't normally leave reviews, but Nicolle arranged a wonderful overview of Bordeaux with Aurelian as our guide. He was so gracious, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We truly had a fully custom tour of amazing wineries and even several wine shops to stock our cellar at home. Each visit was unrushed, informative, and delightful. The highlight was a picnic lunch outdoors on a gorgeous spring day at Chateau Camensac. We highly recommend SIP Wine Tours for any visitor who wants first rate service in casual comfort.

Emmanuelle was an absolutely wonderful guide who has great knowledge of the region. A well-thought itinerary was crafted for us with a good cross section of Bordeaux chateaux. The lunch spot alongside Chateau Lynch Bages was also terrific. Highly recommend this outfit for a great private tour!

Personal tour in an amazing wine producing area is a bucket list check off. If you're lucky you will have Auralien as your guide.

This was one of the best private tours we have ever had. We travel to lots of places and we have never had a better guide nor been treated to such a personal tour. We visited 3 different wineries and experienced the wonderful world of Bordeaux wines and it’s history. A must tour for you in the Bordeaux area.

Found out about Nicolle Croft and SIP Tours from a friend who had done a wine tour of the Bordeaux area with her some years back. Since she is a partner in her and her mate's vineyard and has been doing this for many years, Nicolle is incredibly knowledgable and really enjoys sharing her extensive knowledge of the Bordeaux wine regions, vineyard management and making superb wine. Though she has lived in the Bordeaux region for decades she is originally English so there are no communication problems. We spent 2 days with Nicolle and SIP Tours, learned more than we would have dreamed possible and could not have been happier with our experience.

What a wonderful tour of Bordeaux Chateau wineries! Nicole, our British raised guide was early to pick us up. And, a good thing too because as we started to load into he 5008 Peugeot the front tire expired. Fortunately we were able to let her use our rental for the day and she got a friend to handle the car issues. Nicole had excellent knowledge of wine, the history of Bordeaux and Medoc region and how to efficiently get about the twisty roads of the peninsula. We visited and tasted wonderful wines from the region. Nicole picked a great little bistro for lunch frequented by locals and run by a husband wife team that produced excellent dishes that complemented our first class tour! We helped Nicole get to her car that was towed and enjoyed the trip back to Bordeaux. I highly recommend this tour for its content and if you are an English speaker Nicole is perfect. And her French is fluent as she has lived in the region for a long time. My sweetheart said Nicole was the best guide we have ever had: knowledgeable, personable and today, unflappable!

Nicolle was wonderful. I can’t recommend her enough, she was friendly and knowledgeable. Having lived in the area for 30+ yrs, she knew the place and the people like the back of her hand. She was also very accommodating. We had booked the Medoc tour and the St. Emilion tour back-to-back but I got very sick (had a dodgy meal in Bordeaux) and we couldn’t go. She very kindly rescheduled our tour at a moment’s notice and her tour of St. Emilion was every bit as interesting and fun as the Medoc tour. You won’t get a better guide.
