SCAM! They will take your money! DO NOT recommend!
The port in Le Havre was scheduled for a strike on the day of our excursion. This company knew that ahead of time (it was stated in the newspaper). The company accepted our reservation anyways and when we discovered that it was a dead port the day before the excursion, they held us to the 24 hour cancellation policy. They then proceeded to lie and say that other cruises were docking (we researched the other cruises to see if that was true…it was not). Viator was unwilling to work with me for any type of resolution, just kept saying it was at the discretion of the local company. It’s truly a shame that a tour dedicated to honoring some of the most courageous men in history is being carried out by 2 companies with no honor.

Wonderful tour. Recommend a private tour for max flexibility and speed if coming from cruise ship in LeHavre. Our guide Zoe was really knowledgeable about the detailed history. The cemetery is humbling and awe inspiring. So glad to see that it is so well maintained. Point de hauc was our favorite with the shell craters, bunkers and gun batteries. Understand they may be closing entry to the bunkers soon from fear of cliff erosion. Would take at least a couple of days to see everything like St Mary Eglise, Utah and the other beaches. But this was a great day tour that gets you the highlights.

This was a bucket list trip for my brother Mart. Wanna was excellent. She was an amazing tour guide who not only was a wealth of information but made sure we reached every location with plenty of time to enjoy. I would strongly recommend her. On a busy holiday weekend we never could have done it without her!

The Normandy cemetery was by far the most impressive. Also seeing Omaha Beach and the monuments there were memorable.

The tour was delayed a couple times via email and all of us were ready to go a half an hour later than what was originally stated. It said we would leave at 8:30. Then the TOURS operator changed it to 9 o’clock. We were assured that he would meet us in the terminal. However, in the end he was not allowed beyond the gates of the terminal parking lot so I had to use my $10 a day Verizon account to call first Viator and then the driver to work out the situation. I was able to find him by walking out to the gate outside of the terminal when he and Dimitri finally made it at 9:02. The time that they picked us up was fine since they had already notified us of that change. We left at 9:02. Our ship, The regal Princess was to depart at 7:30 PM but due to getting a late start our visits at each destination were shortened and we were extremely rushed. We feel Pablo the guide and Dimitri. The driver did an excellent job with what they had. However, the fact that we didn’t have to return at five as they were trying to do to keep it within the time parameter set by Viator it made the visit to each place rushed Our ship was off board at 8 and back onboard by 7:30pm. However the rush was to leave Normandy before 3 to get back by 5. We noticed other tours with headphones so they could understand what they were seeing. We didn’t even have time to visit the museum. We literally had to run through it to get to Omaha Beach and the cemetery. We stopped to see the Pegasus Bridge which really didn’t need since we didn’t have an hour to go through the museum. A 15 minute stop for pictures and going to the bathroom would’ve been fine. However, the bathroom situation was not conducive to 16 people using the facilities. All of us had to pay in some form or another in order to use the bathroom. We realize that’s typical in Europe, but it’s frustrating. To use the restroom at the museum, we either had to purchase something in the gift shop or we had to purchase an entrance to the museum to use the facility. The van that we used was very nice however, two people out of the 16 had to ride backwards, which makes it kind of unfair for those two people sitting in those backwards seats Pablo was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed his descriptions and information When we got to Omaha and it was time to have some lunch, he made sure that the waiters and the waitresses served us very quickly so we could be out within 30 minutes However, the people who went to the other restaurant since there are only two, did not have any success in ordering. All in all, I give it a rating three because we did get to the sites that we’re explained in the brochure and we were picked up on time and rushed, but got back to the ship before it departed in plenty of time. Again, Pablo was an excellent tour guide because he didn’t know everything about the sites where we went, but he also had to commute from Paris so that was a pretty extensive commute.
