Climb aboard the fun Magic Train for a 2-hour Port wine tasting tour of Porto. Visit one of the oldest wine cellars in Portugal, stop for 2 Port wine tastings, and marvel at the Romanesque monuments of the historic center, including S.Bento, Aliados, St. Catarina, Cathedral and more.
During the all tour you'll have audio guided tour and see the city from a very interesting perspective.

We did the train hoping to learn about Porto, unfortunately we couldn’t hear the commentary and unless you were seated at a side you had limited visabilty of the sights. The best part of the trip was the port tasting tour. Our guide was excellent, very informative and we enjoyed learning all the history.

We got to the starting point 30 minutes earl where they told us they have no more tours today. The last one left a few minutes ago. When we showed them our reservation they apologized that their train was not working and offered to go by a car an hour later. We were about to accepte, but he changed his mind and found a person to take us to the wine cellar with a minivan with no a/c. The driver spoke a veeeeery limited English.
The cellar tour was okayish, it was lihtning quick, and we got two wines to taste. (We thought of 2 vine tastings not tasting of 2 wines). Others who were signed up for a proper tasting got 3 or 5 wines with some commentary.
After the tasting the guy was driving us around the city streets pointlessly without any commentary. He was really nice though and dropped us off at Hard Rock Cafe as we asked. Thus the 2 stars instead of one.

To ban ! Dangerous driver, who forces the passage and who constantly honks!!! No tourist interest, unpleasant moment we left before the end of the route! I really don't recommend it.

Decadent, uncoordinated, the first time the journey on a tourist train has been long. Totally expendable.

Over an hour of the 1:45 tour was spent getting to, at, and returning from Port wine tour. It was fine but not the reason we took the tour. Remaining time was driving around town with recorded commentary in 3 languages which was difficult to hear (and I speak two of those languages) and didn’t cover some of the main attractions. Wish I’d spent the extra money on hop on-off bus.

The magictrain tour was very disappointing. Our train ride was delayed by one-hour, there was no glass on some of the windows and it was raining. The guide did not give much info when on the ride.
The Port Wine Cellar Visit and tasting was really good.
The boat ride on the Duro river was very good.

Getting off. The audio didn't work so the tour part was a joke. They did get us to the wine tasting and back.

As Garcimore would have said: "missed again" 12 minutes drive to go to the "cellar" 15 minutes visit, 10 tasting, and sale, or 1 hour. In fact 1/2 hour tour in the city with average interest...
In a word, a tourist trap.
