Hike the Etna Volcano to get to the summit craters of Mount Etna at about 3340 meters!
You will be hiking in full safety with a certified alpine and volcano guide, with whom you will marvel at the beauty and wonder of the highest active volcano in Europe, at 3.340 meters above the sea level.
Departing from Sapienza Refuge, in Nicolosi, the Cable Car will take you up to 2.504 meters. From this point you will be riding a 4x4 Jeep up to 2900 meters. Then you will hike to reach the altitude of 3.340 m.
Carried out a long pause near the craters, you will descend in direction of 2002 craters and before heading up again in cable car to the departure point in Refuge Sapienza.
The amount of Hiking involved is 1,5 hour uphill and 2 hours downhill.
The tour can be cancelled in case of adverse weather conditions. The itinerary up to 3340 m can be slightly modified depending on the volcanic activities, for security reasons.

An amazing day! Absolutely stunning views and such an interesting tour of Etna! The Sicilying team are so lovely! Our driver Peppe was so friendly and welcoming, even offering us advice on where else to explore in Catania. And our guide Emiliano was so kind, and very accommodating when we were nervous of the climb. Would recommend to everyone interested in volcanoes or geology, as it is a fascinating tour! Thank you so much to the Sicilying team for such a wonderful day!

Site somptueux et magique mais une fois arrivés au téléphérique exhorbitant (50€ aller retour) aucune signalétique(nom des cratères, altitude,météo), tout est fait pour être forcé de prendre ces 4×4 polluants et soulevant des tonnes de poussière, à €28 par personne! A part quelques offres chères et basiques proposées à Catane par des tour operators, nous avons téléphoné à des guides vulcanologues, aucun retour!
L'unique bus de 8h15 de Catane pour Sapienza nous fait perdre 25 mn à Nicolosi pour prendre 1 café! Les détritus accumulés dans la lave autour de Sapienza sont déplorables, la moindre des choses serait de préserver ce site. Je ne parle pas des mégots laissés par randonneurs peu scrupuleux. Mais nous ne.regrettons pas cette belle journée, nous souhaitons juste ameliorer les futures visites.

One of the best hikes I've done! Mt Etna is an absolutel marvel. The tour company and guide were fantastic, had a really great time.

Had a wonderful experience, with first our driver that picked us up, Bruna, whom had a really positive energy and was fun to speak with. Then, on the Etna excursion, we had Fabrizzio as out guide that lead us up and spoke of the different eruptions and how devastating they were, and also how you could differentiate the different soils on and around the volcano.
It was an awesome experience, and I really recommend this excursion to everyone.

What an epic day. Well informed Picked up from the hotel then the drive to the cable car at Etna. After a short briefing and safety equipment given we were on our way. Knowledgeable guides the whole way up and down with an extra crater on the way down.

Guiseppe picked our group up in Catania and remained with us for the whole incredible experience. The two men in our group went further up the volcano with another good guide. Guiseppe stayed with the woman and we were able to explore even further than we would have had we not had his expert assistance. He was also fun to be with and a good driver pointing out interesting things along the way. The wind conditions were a challenge, but we were able to see the magnificent views, experience the mountain, and even take the cable car down.

We had the best day exploring Etna! Our driver collected and dropped us off from our apartment and was great fun on the drive. Etna was breathtaking and we explored so many different parts of the volcano. Our guides were well informed and gave interesting explanations throughout. Highly recommend!

We loved our adventure with Bruna and Fabricio from sicilying. Everything was planned perfectly. Bruna was our friendly chauffeur and Fabricio our experienced guide.
They took their time to explain everything and the hike to the top of the Etna was a once in a life time experience.

The excursion was incredible, it was like being on another planet. I elected the pick-up from hotel, and was picked up Marina nearby where I stayed. Marina was punctual, an excellent driver, and most of all incredibly knowledgeable. Marina shared a lot of great information about Etna and surrounding areas and made great recommendations. Fabrizio, our guide on the hike, was great, knew a lot of volcanology, and was patient with the group, especially me who chose not to finish the entire trek up. I hung back and explored some of the craters Marina had recommended. I had an amazing time and would recommend.
