On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco, the Mission District, you'll see how immigrants shaped the neighborhood by creating brilliant artwork, beautiful architecture and sharing their fantastic food! Originally home to Irish, German, and Italian immigrants, it is now the epicenter of San Francisco's Latino culture.

The Mission District is full of vibrant murals that offer a visual history lesson featuring themes ranging from cultural heritage to social-political statements. We will take a stroll through the neighborhood to get an up-close experience.

Our tours are more than just the food. Our local guides connect the dots between history, culture, and cuisine to provide you with a deep understanding of the Mission District's thriving culinary scene!

Dara was amazing! Very knowledgeable, very friendly. Did a great job of answering questions, giving historic information on restaurants as well as general San Francisco history.

Came into this on the basis that I wanted to experience some local food with my wife, however it was so much more than that. We walked the local streets, stopped and experienced some of the historical places and at the same time enjoyed some unbelievable food. A trip you'll regret of you don't do it. The guide Jamie is unbelievable. 11/10

We had an amazing time with Mark . We had a bit of a delayed start as the Vice president was in Fairmount and we couldn’t get there to park our car . Mark was very helpful and patient.

I am new to the food tour scene , but now really like the idea . It is an amazing way to get a feel of the city . Even more amazing is when we have an awesome host like Mark , who mixed history with interesting facts to keep everyone in the group interested. We had the best pizza in the tour and great dimsum . We have no hesitation in recommending this tour and Mark .

Did way more walking than actual eating. Advertisement was deceptive. Most of the foods that were advertised were not available. We did like our tour guide though

Great walking food tour. Harrison had lots of good info regarding the mission district history. FYI….these are not little samplers of the food. You get a full burrito, Birria, and a dessert pastry with coffee.

Then food tour turned into a walking tour. Initially had a full size burrito, then a small birria taco, and half a concha Mexican pastry. We went to taste Indian curry and told the guide we had to leave. There was only one stop left at a chocolate shop. The Viator flyer showed twice as many tastings which was a misnomer. I would not recommend this tour as there is a lot of walking and very little food tastings.
