ON THIS PRIVATE TOUR. Your Guide will meet you in Kusadasi Port or in a hotel you are staying in; after short drive you will visit the House of Virgin Mary. According to Christian tradition, Mary was brought to Ephesus by the Apostle John after the Resurrection of Christ and lived her final days there. This church was built on the foundation of that house, and its authenticity has been confirmed by Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II. Afterwards, there is 10 minutes driving to the ancient city of Ephesus, the largest open-air museum in Turkey and the best preserved classical city in the Eastern Mediterranean. Cleopatra, Mark Anthony, Virgin Mary and John the Apostle once walked its streets. Guide will explain you about life in ancient Rome as you walk through this spectacular city.

In early May my husband and I were on Windstar Cruise of the Greek Islands and Kusadasi, Turkey.
We were thrilled to be able to have this port stop and we were not disappointed.
Once again I read all the reviews of tour companies and contacted Ertunga Ecir, Private Tours of Ephesus.
What a memorable time we had with Ertunga. He is a terrific guide with an incredible amount of knowledge, and a passion for sharing this knowledge. We were so pleased to have chosen him for our tour.
Ephesus is literally beyond belief. Such a spectacular ancient city that continues to be unearthed.
The tour also includes a visit to the Virgin Mary house. A beautiful little chapel in a gorgeous wooded grove.
If your travels should ever take you to Kusadasi, please do not hesitate to contact Ertunga. You will not be disappointed. His driver is super as well.
Also, one more thing. If you are on a cruise ship, and will be stopping for a day visit, you DO NOT NEED to get a visa.
