Explore the natural wonders of Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Maui, on this snorkeling tour from Maalaea. Surrounded by clear tropical waters, this extinct cone is home to many species of marine life, such as fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. Molokini is a marine preserve, meaning nothing can be disturbed, keeping the island and underwater environment pristine. You'll also explore Turtle Town, and admire native birds. Two water slides, a glass bottom viewing room, and a "leap of faith" are also available if you don't want to snorkel or finish early. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soda, and juice are included.

Its not that calypso is bad...its just that other boats offer more and a better experience. Calypso is the only snorkel cruise that alcohol is NOT included. All the others offer open bar, for free. Additionally the food is bad...REALLY bad. The other boats cook the food on the grill on the boat. Calypso literally goes to costco and buys premade sandwiches and cookies, opens the box and hands them out. Lots of complaints. The camera guy was fun, but alot of the other staff seemed over worked and tired of the gig. I had done Calypso about 4-5 years ago, but it has gone really downhill. Wont be back. Recommend the Pride of Maui or Gemini instead.

Great crew, felt safe having our kids out in the ocean. Pork sandwiches and sauce were great. All around, it was a highlight of our week on Maui.

This is a fun trip. The snorkelling is great, at the crater we saw lots of fish including an octopus which changed colours and camouflaged with the surroundings! We saw turtles at Turtle Town also.
The crew on the boat were very helpful and very friendly, when they realized we were in a group they ensured we all got to sit together despite getting on the boat almost last.
Overall, we all really enjoyed the experience and would definitely do it again.

Great boat, great crew and great experience. Did a lot of research before making the Calypso selection and they nailed it. Have snorkeled Molokini 3 times and this was the best. The food was good, again the crew was awesome and the $2 Mia Tais were awesome too! This excursion is well worth the money!

Crew very friendly and accommodating, maybe the best part of the trip. Turtle town was fun with many turtles and a clear view, it felt like our own personal snorkeling area as no other boats in the area. Rough water getting to Molokini so take your dramamine. Food was okay, filling and enough for a day in the sun.

Great staff. Wet suit was helpful for warmth. Almost did not make it to the crater, but weather cooperated in the end. Actually enjoyed Turtle Town more than the crater. The food isn’t the greatest, but that’s not what this experience is about. Motion sickness meds recommended.

The crew helping my wife who has never gone swimming. Crew showing atypical respect & real friendliness towards their patrons and the environment in which they operate. No whiney pressure for extra gratuities.
