1. Meiji Jingu Shrine
Meiji Jingu is a shrine which has the most worshippers in Japan and is one of the most popular sightseeing spots. Its vast temple is surrounded by greenery and is the city's oasis which is enjoyable for both locals and tourists. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
2. Takeshita Street
Takeshita Street / Omotesando: Takeshita Street and Omotesando are both Japan's leading fashion streets. Takeshita Street, the epicenter of youth culture, is filled with people all year round, with colorful and pop-up shops lined up in tight rows, and Harajuku's cute culture overflowing. Omotesando will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as one of Japan's leading fashion streets, various fashionistas come and go. Come and see for yourself the city and its people that continue to spread trends!
3. Tsukiji Fish Market
Tsukiji fish market used to prosper between 1935 to 1983 as the largest wholesale fish market in Japan. It closed down in 2018 and moved to Toyosu but the historical land of Tsukiji is still appreciated by the locals. There are still many shops in this old market which are busy with tourists looking forward to eating the delicious seafood.
4. Tokyo Tower
Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and is Tokyo's symbol. It has a strong presence amid the crowded buildings, even in a city as large as Tokyo. Although the newer tower, Skytree, is a taller building than Tokyo Tower, people are still attracted to Tokyo Tower's majestic appearance.
5. Senso-ji Temple
Sensoji is Tokyo's oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.

We had a lovely day with our tour guide Muchan. She was very knowledgeable, able to answer all of our random questions about Japanese culture and history. While I enjoyed every part of the trip, my favorite was Tsukiji market (including an excellent lunch reservation), namiyoke shrine, and Meiji jingu shrine. Great experience all around! Highly recommend!!

Tadashi Ito was our guide. He was amazing and effective at giving us a day tour with all of of Tokyo’s must see places. We only had 1 day to visit and couldn’t recommend a better way to spend the day. He was well informed and we loved the fact that it was a private tour at our own pace and he talked about subjects and facts we were interested in. Thank you Tadashi for amazing memories in our trip!

We had such a wonderful day with Meg. She took us to the Meiji Shrine. We were so lucky to see a Shinto wedding. Takeshita Street was so fun for our 17 year old daughter. Meg was also able to get tickets for us to see an authentic Geisha performance. The day ended on a great note at the Owl Cafe. Meg was a great tour guide and provided us with so much historical and cultural information.

We had an amazing time with the walking tour. Our tour guide Masami was great. He did a great job showing us many of the highlights in Tokyo and explaining history. We learned a lot. So much more to still learn and see. Hope to come back to Tokyo and I would definitely book with Masami again.
