As first-timers from San Francisco, USA, we were blown away by the beauty of Yucatan on Las Coloradas and Rio Lagartos Tour. Our guide Carlos and driver Isidro, made this adventure possible and special to us.
The boat ride was unforgettable, offering stunning views of nature that we rarely experience back home. The pink waters of Las Coloradas were like nothing we'd ever seen, and the interaction with the local wildlife was a highlight.
We also enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by local fishermen, grilled fish that was absolutely mouthwatering. This tour was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the magic of Yucatan!

We met some friends at the hotel who happened to be from the same place in the USA as us, se we invited them to join us on our trip to Las Coloradas. The honesty of the people from the agency really stood out to us. They explained that due to the resent bad weather, the sky had been cloudy, preventing the photoreceptor organisms form absorbing enough sunlight to give the "Rio Lagartos" lagoon its famous pink hues.
Despite this, we appreciated the informative explanation and understood that the rain was beneficial for the animals, plants and Mayan farmers in the area. Many wild animals had been suffering from dehydration and hear strokes. Pons were drying up, and crops were being lost due to the lack of water. So, looking at it from that perspective, we could still enjoy the tour, even if the lagoon wasn't its usual deep pink.
In Yucatan, it's usually sunny, but there are exceptions, like the weather we experienced. There's no one to blame, nature is unpredictable. Just enjoy it, like we did!

We are a family with three teen girls, one of them was on her birthday, and she suggested we do this activity.
Even for us, coming to the beaches of Cancun was amazing. We were very eager to get to know Cancun and its magical surroundings, aside from the nights on Holbox Island with the spectacular "bioluminescence" of the sea. Las Coloradas and Chichen Itza were our all-time favorite tours.
Thanks to all the staff of Tourballoon Travel for making our experiences memorable. We are left with unforgettable memories. Thanks to our guide, Lilly, she's the best!

It was great !!. I'm still laughing to myself at how great it was! Our guide, Oscar, has the highest rating. The food was exquisite, the tour itself was wonderful. We saw many animals and birds. We were right there with the crocodiles in the water and we saw many flamingos just meters away from us! The crocodile farm was an unforgettable experience for me! Don Martín and Mrs. Elmy explained everything about the crocodiles. I'm happy! A GREAT TOUR! :D

Honestly I would not recommend this tour van to anyone. The places are good to see. No complaints
I booked for English guide tour. The guide started in Spanish and I asked for English he said he can’t do both. However he explained to us briefly in English as required.
The Van a/c was not working or not on. People was asking for it . When I asked to put the ac he joked as if didn’t understand saying is it too cold.
But I thought he was saving on gas. He on the ac after he filled gas on return trip. Which we felt the cool air.
There was a flat fire while going , it’s unfortunate and we wasted 1 hr
While coming back after crocodile place. It’s 3 and 1/2 hrs non stop to Cancun. Without restroom break . As a courtesy he should ask and stop for restroom break.
The van is too congested and old. They have to transport us to bus from playa del Carmen to our hotel. We have grab all our stuff and get in to bus
Overall I would not recommend and not comfortable ride

Completely astonishing adventure! It exceeded our expectations. The before, during and after activities were always attractive. I loved the clay part at Las Coloradas, of course, all pinky colors like taken from a Barbie movie. I brought a "sombrero de palma" and it was so useful for the sun. We ended tired but would make it one more time with our families if possible. We recommend it!

This was the second activity we did with this agency, they were so nice with us on everything.
I recommend this tour for those who really want to get disconnected from the every day's monotony, technology, news, etc.
Las Coloradas is a place taken from a sci-fi movie! I have never seen pink waters in my life, adding to this the fact that there were "pink flamingos" it went jaw dropping.
Definitely a tour you must put on your list when visiting Cancun!

Don't be late for pick up. They pick u up from hotel, but you will have to get on a bigger bus for the tours at a stop point. Bring extra peso for the tax charge, 480 pesos.
On a day this this, sunny and cloudy with the perfect weather, the visit was breath taking! Never thought I would see a pink lake but wow really was that beautiful! Also, these tour guides at the las coloradas sites really know how to take pictures! Dang they knew how to work the camera for the insta! Please tip them if you can they derserve it!
The boat ride ro wild flamingos and wild crocs are cool too. Again, the beautiful sunny day made everything so much more lovely!

Deep in the Mayan jungle, our Yucatan adventure was unforgettable! Our guide, Daniel, wasn't "your average leader". He was a jungle explorer with infectious energy.
Daniel unlocked the jungle's secrets (flamingos included!), but his true magic was his enthusiasm. Every turn became a thrilling discovery. This wasn't a sightseeing, it was immersion! We met flamingos in a pink lagoon (seriously wow!), cruised mangroves by boat, and even embraced our inner mud monsters (trust us, it's a blast!).
Unforgettable Mexican adventure? This tour is the right thing! Something you shouldn't miss, you won't regret it!

Just got back from this epic tour to Coloradas and Rio Lagartos.
Our guide Daniel, was seriously the best. He knew everything there was to know about the place, from the crazy pink lakes (thanks, tiny organisms!) to the coolest birds we spotted. He wasn't just a walking encyclopedia though; he was super friendly and made the whole trip a hit.
Seeing those flamingos in the wild was unreal, and the boat ride through the mangroves was like something out of a movie. We even got to take a mud bath, which sounds weird, but trust me, it was awesome!
If you're looking for a fun and informative way to see this part of Mexico, this tour is the way to go. Especially if you can snag Daniel as your guide. That guy's a legend and the guys from the agency were superb!
Seriously, can't recommend it enough!
