Outstanding tour and service by Damon for the backstreet alleys of Guangzhou!
Outstanding in terms of:
1. Damon’s expertise and insights as a Guangzhou native
2. The personable and very helpful demeanor of Damon who went above and beyond to assist us in any ways that he could including the booking and procurement of opera and museum tickets and personalizing our itinerary to flexibly meet our interests
3. In the space of one jam packed day we were able to get a taste of so many different neighborhoods in old Guangzhou which we simply would not have been able to experience so efficiently on our own. Oh, and we finished off the day with Cantonese opera in the park followed by wonderful dim sum.
I highly recommend Damon as your go-to guide for all things Guangzhou - ranging from history and cultural interests to foodie delicacies to scenery highlights outside of GZ to business matters as Damon is a highly personable, capable and thoughtful guide!

Great tour, Guangzhou is a great mixture of the old and the new. Manged to see some of the main attractions including Baiyun Mountain and Canton tower, using a mixture of metro and taxi. However, what made this tour was not just the spectacular temples and museums it was wondering the back streets and local markets of the city, feeling perfectly safe in the company of my guide. This was a great insight into the way that the people of Guangzhou go about their daily lives, we saw them dancing and exercising in parks, playing chess even came across a Beijing Opera performance. My guide Zack was extremely knowledgeable, not just about the history of the city and its sights but had great insight into normal daily life, including some great places to eat. He was easy to understand speaking excellent English. Overall the experience was more like a relaxing stroll around town with a friend rather than a guided tour. The booking process was simple as was the communications afterwards to arrange specific requirements. I can highly recommend this tour by Guangzhou local tours.

We joined the half day tour hanging around the old town of Guangzhou with our guide Candice which was a wonderful experience. The backstreet and alley was a great fun to explore with their interesting stories explained along the way, we saw many local people's activities like playing Tai Chi, mahjong, Chinese chess and the Cantonese Opera in a local neighbourhood. And we were given rich info and insight to the traditional Cantonese architecture and culture. It's very important to have a local guide with you so that you learn more about the people and the city from a local's perspective. We highly recommend Guangzhou local tours, 5 Star experience.
