Absolutely loved this tour! More specifically, our local trekking guide, Jozua, was fantastic! She was able to easily accommodate the various trekking speeds our group required and even helped me bargain for the best price on some local items. Would book again!

We had booked this trip for November 2022, but the cable car to Fansipan was closed. Crossing Vietnam contacted us to have the trip changed to a 2 day Sapa trekking tour. They arranged a night bus for us, and changed the schedule to fit, so we could walk in the morning and afternoon. It was very well arranged.

Our trekking guide, Thao Mu, was lovely. Her English is amazing, and she was eager to show us around and tell us about the different villages and tribes that inhabit the mountains around Sapa. We definitely recommend her.

One thing to note is that the villagers send children to make some money, so you will be bombarded with small groups who will try to get you to buy from them. Also, on some of our treks, some villagers joined randomly, walking along, until they also try to persuade you to buy something. They were not too pushy but if that's not your cup of tea, Sapa may not be fully your thing.

Other than that, great trip and great guide.

The tour was an interesting experience for us. We started the day with a tour and I went with my mum who is generally weaker and the tour was able to cater and slow down pace when required so she has more time to rest. As the trekking is a private tour with the tour guide who is very friendly explaining the culture and practices of the villages.

The 2nd day was to the Fansipan mountain where we went ourselves with the tickets provided. Overall, I appreciate that we have time to ourselves yet at the same time being able to understand the village in greater detail.

We also have some free time where we get to explore the city. The only disadvantage was that we find the sleeping bus quite cramped to squeeze 2 people in a double cabin for the journey back to Hanoi. However, the guide has been really helpful arranging transport back to the hotel.

We did a ‘From Hanoi: 2-Day Overnight Sapa Tour by Bus’ tour. The tour itself was alright, tour guide was friendly and on-time. Our bus arrived late at around 230pm, so on the first day we only visited Cat-Cat village (didn’t involve walking on the rice fields) and our day ended at 530pm.

However, the hotel we were given (Sapa Vista Hotel), supposedly a 3-star hotel, was unfortunately below expectations. The comforter was yellowish, the bedsheets were stained with seemingly shoe stains, and the toilet mat was more muddy than white. We asked for a change, and the results were still the same, just that the black stains on the bedsheets were now yellow patches. To the staff’s credit, they were accommodating and tried their best to cater to our requests but was unfortunately below expectations. The only upside of the hotel was the amazing view of the rice fields. We ended up booking another hotel and didn’t stay the night here, and neither did we have our meals there.

Well organized tour. The guide was knowledgeable, tailored our hiking to our desires and abilities. The hotel was nice and the room had a beautiful view of the mountains and the valley. The food was simple but delicious. We truly enjoyed our experience!!!

This is more of a travel agency than an actual tour. They book a tour of the valley for you, which is great, and your Fansipan tickets, but you don't have a tour guide present for the whole thing. They just hire a lot of different people to pick you up and take you to each thing, so it feels a little like being man-handled. Although the hotel they booked, SaPa Relax Hotel was amazing and the tour guide for the valley trek was also fantastic. If you were interested in booking everything yourself you probably could for cheaper. Also, did not particularly love the overnight bus. You're not going to get much sleep on it.

Our family of 4 went on the 1 night, 2 days tour to Sapa. The rain played a spoilsport on our trip but otherwise it was an excellent opportunity to see the nature at its absolute best. The rice paddies, the Cat Cat village, the cable car up to mount Fansipan; it was all an amazing experience.

What made the trip even better for us was the excellent customer service provided to us throughout our trip.

Trang from Crossing Vietnam was unbelievably helpful. She made time for me outside her working hours to collect payment from me as I couldn't organize currency exchange in time. She came to the Saturday late night markets to make the transaction happen. She then personally organized and oversaw our transfer from our hotel to the train station (yes we took the overnight train).

She also provided us the direct contact details of our tour guide in Sapa. The accommodation in Sapa was yet another example of great customer service. We got 2 x connected rooms. This gave ample space for our kids while giving us some privacy and space to continue our planning activities.

We returned using a sleeping bus after staying a night it SaPa. Overall it was a great experience and I can't thank Trang enough for going above and beyond her responsibility.
